Only valid for 3 months and not on Saturdays. Movie vouchers are always the worst.

    • +3

Saturdays after 5pm. Everything before 5 is fine

  • +6

Yeh big killer about the short expiry.
I would have grabbed a few if it had 9 or 12 months on them

    • Given the school holidays, even 1 or 2 must still be good. With school kids, chances are that you won't use them after 5pm anyway.

  • +1

Thanks, we are a family of five and plan to see a movie sometime in the next weekk so this will come in handy.

  • Would these be Screen Saver vouchers? If they are, then you only get 50 Cinebuzz points per ticket. If not, you get the full 100.

  • +7

Make sure to include "PLEASE NOTE: THIS PRODUCT IS NOT VALID FOR USE IN VIC/TAS."

    • Thanks sorry don't know how I missed that :)

  • awesome, got it for this holidays. thanks trent86

  • +6

Need to add $1.20 booking charge on top.

    • +1

Not if exchange them for cinema tickets at the cinema

  • +1

Any ideas what the VMAX surcharge would be?

    • +2

      VMAX surcharge is usually $4
      3D is $3
      VMAX 3D is $7

  • "Not valid for use in VIC/TAS" - that's it!

  • Thank you for the heads up, but I must be stupid or something.
I go to the website and tried to log in, but I had issues. Then I noted in the FAQ that you can't use your Cinebuzz login.
However, there is no register button anywhere to be seen, not even when clicking on the Login button.
    Am I missing something here?

Event sucks with their pricing and coupons

  • Ordered two. Email has not been instant…

    Was hoping to use today

    • Got mine in 10 minutes.

    • +1

"eVoucher is not valid to be redeemed on Monday 26 December 2016." from t&c.

      • +2

Bar stools changed the t&c after I ordered. Now says 24hrs to get the tickets too!

      • darn it
edit - jeeze, if they didn't want people who are ONLY going to the movies at this price they could just say so.

        • They want to say Yes* but here, there, also there, there, and there.

    • +1

I got a confirmation email stating your event cinemas evoucher has arrived…. with no vouchers…

      • +1

Same here, no barcode, nothing. Maybe after 24hr?

      • Email says 30mins but website FAQs says up to 4hrs, not sure what to do…

      • +1

The same, here is my second conformation email from Event.

You have received Blockbuster eVoucher Package. Quantity 1

        From: XXX

        To: XXX

Please allow 24 hours for your order to be activated prior to redemption.

Nothing else!!!! Where are those codes?

        • newpanda exact second email I received after receiving first email confirming order. Have you got your evouchers yet? I havent since ordered 1400hrs yesterday.

        • @corksta:
Still nothing, have sent email to inquiry, but no reply. Feel very bad!
I don't think we will receive eVoucher anymore, because Event has already sent blank codes to us

      • Still NO vouchers… part of me wants to neg this deal.

    • No vouchers for me either. The email I got said 30 minutes. I ordered around 11:30pm on the 26th. Still nothing this morning.

      • Mine came at 2:18pm following day

  • Do we have to use 5 tickets in one session or can they be split across multiple movie sessions (on different days)?

    • "This product will be delivered as one email containing 5x unique barcodes; each barcode is valid for 1x admission to a standard movie session."

  • +1

Need vouchers for those ridiculously priced popcorn and drinks which we seem to keep buying.

  • +1

Anyone actually get their tickets after purchase?

It says won't be activated until 24 hours but surely they don't mail it out 24 hours later? Email says to contact them after 30 minutes if still haven't received the vouchers

    • +1

      I got mine 1 min after I ordered @ 9:30 this morning.

  • Ordered an hour ago and havent received the tickets so still waiting…

    • Check your spam folder, I found mine there, after 5 minutes.

    • I bought mine 4 hours ago and haven't received them yet either. Nothing in spam folder either. I guess I'll get them tomorrow….

  • -1

Telstra tickets work out better and cheaper and no booking fee.

    • +1

Please explain how as all I can see is the $16.50 through Telstra?

    • Basic Telstra Thanks tickets are $12.50 each and don't involve a booking fee for online reservations. These calculate to $10 + $1.20 booking = $11.20 each. I'm keen to get these to watch something with my group of 5 for tomorrow but the fact that some people are reporting not getting their vouchers immediately plus the terms mentioning something about 24hrs makes me hesitate.

  • Mine came in the junk mail so for those who haven't received theirs, check the junk mail folder.

I went to George St today but couldn't watch a movie. They said it'll take more than 24 hours to activate because it's a public holiday. Kinda sucks that the Boxing Day deal couldn't be used on Boxing Day. Still a +ve since the price is right and I'm not in a hurry.

    • Ridiculous system, was hoping to use the tickets tomorrow (and today even) and it seems like it won't even be activated by then…

Don't think I'll buy these vouchers again

  • +1

Ordered 3 hours ago. Still waiting for the coupons.

  • Just received the tickets so took 6 hours to arrive from time of booking

  • Yeah there is a delay, i ordered mine @ 5pm still nothing

    • Got mine @ 1am

  • +1

Ordered 2 x this deal 2pm today, nothing here at nearly 10pm. Was tld they would arrive within 30 minutes. Right.

The optimist in me hopes they arrive tomorrow.

    • +1

Heh like magic they arrived right about after I submitted this message!

      • so about 8 hours?
hmmm.. i still havent received mine yet, purchased at 12pm today. and its already 8pm here ahhaha

        • same to me. Ordered 3 pm, still not received.

        • Mine arrived 7 hours after I ordered. They must have a decent backlog or something going on

    • Same here - no email (spam included) with vouchers after 4 hours

      • +1

oh what do ya know… mine just came through ahhaha. seems like all you need to do is message on ozbarg and it just appears in your inbox few minutes later. :D

  • I bought this voucher, but why do I need to pay $4 each voucher I have used when booking a movie?

    • It's $1.20 booking fee per ticket unless you print it out/show it on your smartphone at the kiosk at the cinema. Agreed, it's a silly system to have to pay for a booking fee…

      Are your vouchers activated already?

    • +2

Is it for a Vmax session?

  • So I got an email with my "evoucher". There are no codes in it though.

I can't really be bothered explaining to event their incompetence do I might just dispute the PayPal.

    • It's an image, so is your email client displaying images?

      • I see an image but no code on it..

    • Same here. If them cannot send me code today, I am opening an dispute.

    • Finally got my vouchers from customer support which i emailed.

    • I would speak to event cinemas facebook man, send them a MSG & they will prob be able to help you :)
      https://www.facebook.com/EventCinemas/?fref=ts

    • So I gave up waiting for a response to an email and disputed through PayPal. I had new emails with codes within a couple of hours. When I asked why the 3 month expiry was from 26th December they offered a $20 refund. Win. PS I bought 2x5 tickets.

  • "Invalid Gift Card" everytime i try and book, has been more than 24 hours..

    • same here, their system must have had a meltdown due to the volume of orders. delay delivery of evouchers, and prob event cinema's system is yet to import large number of voucher codes to its own system.
I'll never use evoucher from this mob again.

      • Beware of the deal when posted on OzB!

I'll never buy from Bonds online again as during the last 40% off I bought 3 pairs of socks which took a month to dispatch.

We'll stress test your ecommerce system like no automated system.

        • I actually got email from event cinemas directly. So, no I wasnt aware it was on the OzB!

      • Yeah im getting a bit pissed off, i've sent emails to them and they still haven't responded - the money i bought these vouchers with, i was planning on going to the movies tonight, and now i cant due to the money has been spent on the vouchers… which still do not work after 72+ hours now.

        • They respond pretty quickly on Event cinemas FB So try there

        • @TRENT86:

Got an email back from them surprisingly after commenting lol.

They ended up re-issuing them and is working fine now.

        • @Catalystic: good to hear :)

  • I forgot to buy these, are there any other deals?
