  • can't you do a special on the 2tb drives…? :D

    • +7

Only if you don't mind them coming in non standard, double HDD thickness with 2x ESATA connection points and some sticky tape holding it together.

      • ahh you had me until the 2x sata ports, which was the deal breaker :P

      • free sticky tape? :P

  • That is not a soothing green colour on your website, my eyes started to hurt even before i could get to the shopping cart. How the hell am i going to buy anything ?

    • +1

There is a local call phone number you can call, 1300 11 99 15 we'll take your order over the phone. Sorry, but we can't please everyone.

      • Awesome did not notice that , thanks :)

  • I need to buy 20 Samsung 2TB HDD's. Any deals on that?

    • +1

      don't you mean 24? :D (i need 4!)

why samsungs though, the click of death scares me!

      • They run quiet and are the eco ones and better for Linux or ZFS.
WD are only good for WHS or Windows systems.
But making a 20 Drive Norco ZFS NAS will need them :P

        • You might want to get 25, for the 5 that are DOA.

      • I need 4 too, what's all these '1 per customer' deals about?

        • +1

good way to promote your business, and ensure there is enough to promote it to everyone!

        • Sorry, but we have very limited stock.

  • +1

U need to get the Astone ISO Gear 481E with Esata as a requirement?

cant u get the HDD only?

    • No absolutely not.

      • +1

Wait what? A $75 HDD is advertised. Are you saying that you cannot actually buy the $75 HDD without a $22 enclosure? That is false advertising!

If I am wrong, I will retract the negative.

      • Sorry, brain freeze, you DO NOT NEED TO GET THE CASE. you can buy the HDD by itself.

        • How do we do that? There is no option for not getting the external enclosure. I am trying to purchase it but it requires me to tick only one option, and that is to buy the Astone ISO Gear 481E with Esata for $22

  • +1

Decent deal. I bought the Pricesengine one for 63+shipping which only came it at a few dollars cheaper

  • -1

Not much of a deal, you need to buy an enclosure. External HDD Case, being a required field to tick.

  • +3

    facepalm

you don't need to buy the enclosure.

the "no absolutely not" was in regards to having to buy the case not the getting the hdd only.

man people are trigger happy on that neg button!

    • facepalm. If you had tried purchasing the HDD earlier, you would have seen that the enclosure was a necessary option. It is fixed now.

  • Misleading deal. It doesn't tell you in the post that you have to purchase the enclosure for $22 to get this deal Negin it for being dodge.

Just tried to add only the HDD on the site but will only work if u buy the enclosure

    • What? I just tested it. Try again.

      • Yes at first u were only able to buy it with the case but it got fixed later on thats why a revoked my neg

  • i have withdrawn both negatives votes on the basis the rep has confirmed you dont need to buy the case to get the hdd for $75.
If this is wrong, please use the report function

    • Is wrong just tried it on the website and it wont let you buy the HDD without the enclosure

      • +1

yeah was broke, but then worked for me the next time.

        • Revoked neg due to being fixed

  • Works now.

  • Definitely no problems - tested on Firefox and IE8.

  • This is the new "Advanced format" disks - are they compatible with all existing SATA enclosures?

    • Yes.

  • only $5 cheaper than MSY

    • +5

And you don't have to feel like a cow waiting for slaughter either.

    • $7 cheaper than Netplus in WA so not bad.

  • I think you've got enough interested parties to start up a 2TB sale there Jungle ;)

    • +2

Sigh! The best I could do would be about $159 Delivered for Samsung 1TB. Our buyer couldn't get onto our account manager (too late), so have the feeling we got some pretty crappy prices. He will check again tomorrow morning. I will let you know if we can do any better then.

      • thanks ill be waiting to see what you can do!

        • OK here's what I've got : 2TB Samsung Spinpoint EcoGreen F3 HD203WI 3.5" SATA Hard Drive Price $158 Delivered. But wait: there's more. If you buy more than 1 unit, we will subtract $5 for each unit you buy. So 2 units = $10 discount, bringing price per unit to $153 Delivered. If anyone here feels like posting this as a new deal, feel free. As a rep, I can only post 2 deals a week myself - so you guys will have to post the offer if you think its a good deal.

Please bear in mind, shipping is INCLUDED in our price.

          • @junglejumble: yeah pretty decent deal… (cheapest on static ice is 155 pickup…)
might wait till they come down to around 100-125 or so…
might have to wait a few more months though….

  • to junglejumble : Do it have 3 years international warranty from WD coz i bring it outside Aus soon ?

    • Yes. I have checked the serial number against a number of countries and they are all fine. I checked PNG, Australia and USA.
