Just googled it as I got the same model on the JB sale, according to sony website it is, it just has to be updated first.
Been having an eye on this remote control. Was $100 now $30.
Only trouble is that no pick up in Sydney.
Ie must be delivered ie $10 + extra. Finally bought it together with other stuff so to make $300 altogether for Amex $100 cash back.
The surfboard mount is very nice and well worth it,
compared to bad quality and design from eBay.

The RMLVR1 was compatible with the first models of the action cam series such as the HDRAS20V, HDRAS30V, etc. The remote recently has a firmware upgrade to expand compatibility with all available action cam models, including the FDRX1000V 4K action cam and HDRAS200V.
The remote was only able to control a single camera at a time, unlike the RMLVR2. Also didn't have the HOLD button function which prevents you from accidentally pressing the buttons. These functions are added in the new version of the remote, so you won't need to purchase the newer RMLVR2 remote commander if you already own this one.
Basically the same.

I added the cheap tripod and travel shaver and delivery only went to 19.99
Lucky! I wanted to add LCD screen for action cam and delivery went up to $30. I'll pass on that one for now.

@CVonC: I was interested in the LCD screen you wear on your wrist that is also a remote. Not the handycam attachment. The 3rd link at the top is still broken. I can see where you got confused when I referred to "LCD link not found". I know they are different products, I have multiple units of both from the last sale, I own 5 action cams.
Yep that's why I misunderstood you. But yeah anyway the LV1 is sold out now. That's why the link is 404'd. The LV2 is $100 but is pretty much just the same as a firmware updated LV1, see above. I was lucky to get the LV2 for $60 odd dollars during the demise of Smith's Dick.
