how does warranty work buying from lenovo ebay?
says, Warranty: 1 Year Depot, but i am sure you will be f'ed around if you have a problem.
Lenovo will send you your receipt (tax invoice) separately.
Anyway, it doesn't matter if you have receipt or not, since warranty is based on the serial number on your laptop. So, if any problem, just call lenovo and tell them the serial number.

Yes it's a bit odd. The eBay store says goods sent from Mascot Sydney and also offers click collect option at selected Wollies or bigW. But the despatch notification says goods are forwarded by HK.
so its HK stock. guess the warranty isnt worth jack then. possibly a counterfeit product too i guess?

There is nothing odd about the process.
Your laptop is not assembled until after your purchase.
Guess where it is assembled? Hong Kong.
After your order (and other orders) are completed, it is them shipped to Australia (but not to you).
Have a guess where the items are shipped to? Lenovo's facility in NSW.
From there, it is sent via Courier to you.
TL;DR
Lenovo Australia buys inventory from HK.
When the inventory arrives, Lenovo will deliver it from their NSW facility via Courier.
I will give a negative ebay feedback … as lying to customer. You can always dispute it with Lenovo as 'non-aussie' stock and will ask for statement for counterfeit product.
so its a counterfeit product? i wouldnt be surprised if it was since its from HK.
This is what happens:
(1) You laptop is delivered via courier from Lenovo Australia's facility in NSW.
(2) Lenovo Australia gets their stock from HK.
Which is why your tracking starts in HK. But, they DO NOT post the laptop to you from HK.
Basically, your laptop is posted from HK to Lenovo Australia.
When Lenovo Australia receives the product, they will then post the item to you.

Could have been better of they specified it in the item description. It is false advertising and violates eBay rules to say item will be shipped from Sydney.

i havent no. i saw on their feedback that 3 people have received their yoga 900s. i checked to see how early they bought theirs and all 3 of them bought the laptop about 12 hours before i did.
i sent the seller a msg about 4 days ago no response yet.
I was meant to get mine yesterday, but nothing arrived.
I also messaged them to no avail.
Hope its just the typical Christmas and new year lag.

mine arrived today. just now actually. :)
they msged me and said that demand was pretty high due to the 50% off deal so they ran out of stock.
they had to build more of them in their china plant, hence the delay.

Got mine yesterday too. My friend who ordered his literally 10mins after me is only meant to get his next Tuesday!
Customer service on the phone is good, but i find it very suss that they had to go and build more pieces with such a lag time, when they still have the same mode listed on their ebay as being delivered within 48hrs.
Great little laptop and tent mode is awesome for watching Netflix in bed!
Anyone know which bloatware to remove? I took Norton out immediately and let windows defender activate, but am unsure about the rest of the lenovo apps.
