The actual F&F expansion is worth buying: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/store/p/forza-horizon-2-pres…

Easy 1000g and contributes to forzahub points.

Thanks. Added. It was free sometime ago.

      • Indeed, but my guess is that many ozbargainers now have a new xbox and wouldn't have claimed it years ago :P

Just in case anyone else is in my boat, and has a disc copy of Rare they were gonna trade in and put toward a digital version, well, EB is only offering 6 bucks for it as of 3 minutes ago when I rang, so I'd hold onto it.

Otherwise cheers OP, didn't have an Xbox when F&F launched for free and wasn't gonna pay full price for a thing that was once free.

    • +1

why would you opt for the digital version of rare replay?

  • $6 is more than I was expecting for a game I bought for $20 in 2015

Other notable deals I could see are

    ARK: Survival Evolved : $22.48

    Don't Starve: Giant Edition : $7.98
    Don't Starve: Giant Edition + Shipwrecked Expansion : $12.78

    Far Cry 4 : $19.98
    Far Cry 4 Gold Edition : $39.98

    The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - $27.73
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition : $47.97

    Ryse: Legendary Edition : $23.08

Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious Digital Edition - $3.36

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection - $32.98

  • my $1 gold membership will expire on 1/1, will i be able to grab another month of gold for $1 again?

    • Highly unlikely.

Thanks, got Plants vs. Zombies™ Garden Warfare 2 - Festive Edition for $20.

My son was pushing me to buy it a few days ago, so perfect timing!

    Cheers!

  • Dumb question: when you purchase one of these (eg rayman) you get a cd key right? So you could gift that to someone else?

    • Pretty sure they install onto your Xbox as soon as you purchase

    • +1

You need to log in with your account to purchase. So whatever account you're on, it will download to that profile on the Xbox. Even if you're doing it on the website. If you want to gift a digital Xbox game then you'll have to buy Xbox live digital credit.

  • So when I click the games in the link it goes to the game on the US store page. If I purchase from the US store, can I still play it here? Because Mad Max on the actual Xbox One Store (as in, on the actual console)is $49.98, but only $10 in the US store. Thanks.

    • +2

      yes will work fine.

trickiest part you need a us credit card to buy directly from the US site.

best way is to buy a xbox electronic gift card from amazon, then buy from the US site using the xbox gift card

      good luck!

      • Thanks mate, I'll try that later today.

  • This may be a strange question but I'm new to XBOX One and just signed up for the $1 month of gold right now from http://www.xbox.com/en-AU/?xr=mebarnav

If you scroll down the page to the bottom it says you can get Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition, Burnout Paradise & Resident Evil 4 included with Gold but when I bring them up in the store on the console it has a price next to them and I can't work out how to access them free? Is there an extra step somewhere, I thought all free content was just accessed via the store like any other game?

Really keen to replay these games as I remember them being pretty awesome on the 360.

    • Usually there are monthly free games for Xbox Live Gold.

      Please see here.

      • So the games being advertised were actually last months? Damn, this month is so crap compared to those fantastic titles :(
