LHR = London (Heathrow) for those who were too afraid to ask.

Title edited for those of us who are not aviation geeks. Cheers.

For those who want a tipple on the plane, note that you can BYO your own alcohol.

Can I bring BYO my own alcohol too?

BYO = Bring Your Own - for those who were too afraid to ask.

  • if you want a little luxury, you can organise, through the Melbourne office, a combined economy ticket to London and Business return ticket. This works out a cheaper option and more comfy for me as I don't get jet lagged on way over. There are two stop overs, one in Brunei and one in Dubai which allows you to stretch your legs and move about, It is about an hour in Dubai so no need to gallop unless you want the exercise. The beds are fully flat, the service is great.

Economy one way and business class the other way is cheaper than $929? ;)

Oops, I am sorry, of course it is dearer to do a combination fare. I have just rung Royal Brunei Melbourne office to check prices.

If you use your cheap (Delta class} economy special fare and combine it with (Charlie Class) Business fare on return journey the total combination fare will be AU$3592.55 which is considerably cheaper than their ( C class) AU$6054.55 return business class fare, Mel to LHR.

It may be cheaper to use skyscanner but I have not worked out how to do a combination fare on Web consolidators. Hope this clarifies the situation.
