Well spotted. I'll try finding some in my area.

Just a heads up, Target had a shitload of snacks heavily reduced over the last couple of days, worth checking out, many different kinds of chips, chocolates, nuts & other random stuff going for next to nothing.

    • +1

Thanks for the alert. I scored well today at the Cessnock NSW branch, including the last 4 Lindor 550g balls for $5 each.

  • How large is each chocolate in the pack? Are these the ones that are ~14g?

    • +1

      Yes approx 15g each

  • Any hampers? I went to Target on Monday and there was only 1 hamper left and it was only at 50% (last year there was heaps at 75%). I wonder if they cut down on the hampers stock this year or everyone bought it at full/half price?

    • None at Burwood

    • It all 75% off now it start yesterday lots at my local Target

  • Yesterday all the decorations type items changed from 50% to 75%
    Not sure on hampers

  • what is the best by dates on these ?

    • +1

The best used by dates on my 11 tubes I bought were June 2017. bought a few with April 2017 as well.

      • +5

clearly one is doing something wrong if april expiry chocolates survive anywhere near it. in my household. no chance.

Yum. Soy Lecithin from genetically modified soy.

Let alone all the other crap that goes into an expensive, non-essential 'snack' food lovingly made by your favourite multinational parasite.

if I'm going to destroy my body I'm going to do it properly with booze.

      • Live a little! ;) Lol

I wouldn't eat it if it were free (or if someone paid me to eat it).

And I don't particularly like feeding the suits at http://ir.mondelezinternational.com/events.cfm while their crap is sold to adults and kids as a 'treat' rather than a 'trick' (Christmas, birthdays, Valentines…). Let alone feeding the GMO companies, patenting their poison seeds.

Maybe you shouldn't eat any chocolate at all, after all it comes with few extra bug parts. http://www.nbcnews.com/health/body-odd/chocolate-allergies-l…

Stop worrying about it as if you do it might do you more harm than a few bits of chocolate, or move to Mars. It hasn't been contaminated, yet…

        • Fair enough, making informed lifestyle choices is extremely important, I will take a look at your links and skool myself.
I don't have any other vices, don't drink alcohol, smoke,do drugs or gamble. So I guess sugar/lollies will be my downfall.

        • @bargainparker:
          So gross, yet so delicious…
I reckon I've eaten a colony's worth of roaches so far.
Might need to switch to dark chocolate to counter effect the roach bits, with the health benefits dark choc has!?

    • Was yor mum a Chemist?

Hold on… it's candy! It's a giant tube of mostly sugar with some flavourings. People get it - we don't buy this stuff for the health benefits.

(As an aside, I buy it and raspberry cordial to give to my nieces and my friends' kids. I time it so their sugar-high hits right as their parents get home. This dramatically reduces the chance that I'll be asked to child-mind again ;)

Also, "there is a scientific consensus that currently available food derived from GM crops poses no greater risk to human health than conventional food." The "dose makes the poison" etc. etc. reality. etc. etc.

  • None in Palmerston NT incase any of you thought of making the trip.
    Heaps of hampers though.

  • They also have Belgium Christmas chocolate boxes, made in Belgium (who'd a thunk) 125g for $1.25 (normally $5). Best before Sept 18. They look pretty good, haven't tried them yet.

No hampers or tubes at Bullcreek WA.

  • This morning, they had only a few boxes of the $1.25 Belgian Christmas chocolate boxes at Target Westminster WA (or Balga, if you prefer LOL), quite a few smaller boxes (37g) of the same chocolates for $0.60, some tins of shortbread biscuits and HEAPS of candy canes in various flavours but that's about it food-wise - no hampers, Cadbury tubes or any other Christmas chocolates left.

  • Is this ongoing still ?

    • +1

No. I was in Target today.
