    Great prices!

  • Any deals for Hobart and Darwin?

  • Anydeal from sydney to vietnam on the end of jan man?

  • I got a price alert from Scoot for Melb to Singapore 13th-20th Feb for $398. Is there a reason to choose Qantas over Scoot?

    • Yes

Full service vs budget. Qantas gives you check in baggage, food, drinks, entertainment, better service, frequent flyer points, and probably more.

I would only fly budget internationally if the price is significantly cheaper (think $500 vs $1000) and I didn't need baggage.

Honestly you would say that food, drinks and entertainment is worth $500? I never check bags, the points earned on a saver Qantas fare are worth $50 at most.

        • That's the exact opposite of what I said.

I said I would fly budget if the difference was that much.

        • No its not worth 50… even at 1c per point…

@jeppetto367: You said you would only fly budget if the difference was $500.

Therefore you'd be willing to pay up to $499 more to remain on a full service flight before you considered a budget airline. So the comment by @belfordrocks that you are willing to pay $500 for food, drinks and entertainment is only out by $1.

    • All those people negging, are you pregnant or have a pregnant wife? :)

    10/Jul – 14/Sep/17 and 3/Oct – 7/Dec/17.

Where are these flights? Not that it matters since outside the F1 dates D:

Looks like a little north of $100 more for F1 period. Emirates, Qantas and Singapore within $30 of one another.

  • Yep - just booked with Singapore Airlines yesterday for F1 week. $650 for meh flight times, $700 for good. 2 days ago flights were $890 for the same time, just saved my family $1000 on flights.
