    The m17x base price has also gone up since I purchased mine. However, testing with the same specs and this discount applied it comes out to $4.00 cheaper.

    Still a + vote from me since there doesn't seem to be any other way to easily get discounts on Alienware products (Dell reps have no delegation to haggle prices on Alienware like their counterparts in the US).

    Just tried and it seems to work for me.

    Check the "Unit Price" column once you've added it to your cart at Checkout, it should have a -$xxx.xx in orange. This will be the -8% discount.
