Must say, although I own Omega seamaster autos … I've become a great fan of quartz dive watches ….the cost of getting an auto watch regularly services is painfull ……..quartz is cheaper.

A Seiko automatic movement shouldn't need a service for 20 to 25 years from what I have read.

    • I can see where you're coming from. I shudder when I see collections of 15 plus watches. The up-keep must be horrendous, particularly on vintage and luxury pieces. As 28Degees wrote, this will go a very long time without a service. At least with a luxury quartz the entry price is cheaper and the 2nd hand market is very cheap too. However, the resale isn't so crash hot and wouldn't want to be stuck with a dead quartz.

      • if you're happy with an nh35 you're better off waiting for deal on an invicta pro diver OR an orient diver

this is a high price to pay for what is a flat out no brand watch

Haha, an Invicta over an Aragon said no one who knows watches ever.

        • here's the problem with what you say… invicta is a company, with website, with a catalog with definite SKUs with reviews all over the place with a huge fanbase in the modding scene

they aint pretty IMO but they're well under $100 for a workable pro diver

thats what I'm ready to throw away on an NH35

I'm not willing to throw away $154 (!!!) on this but hey, maybe it takes all sorts with their money i guess

Not really trying to appeal the masses on OZB with this one. But you can't expect much more than a nh35 or Miyota 8xxx at this price point. I would hardly call Aragon (once Android) a no name brand, they have a decent micro-brand rep on WUS and have been around a while. Most people don't even know any brands apart from the usual suspects. As for the Invicta, keep the movement, flog the rest unless you're modding…just don't get it wet.

        • I have no great respect for the lower end but if I buy a $75 Invicta pro diver, you get what you expect.

I admit I have even less respect for microbrands because it comes down to what are you doing for roughly twice the price of an Invicta for the same movement?

          Its a tough sell.

        • @tonyjzx: I know the build quality of the Invicta automatic diver's & the Invicta mod thread I bought one in January 2016 from this post and completely pulled it apart & modded it.

I recently did a lot of reading on Aragon watches before posting this deal on the Divemaster & have a blue 45mm one on the way. I'm pretty sure the build quality is much higher than the Invicta, they are catering to two different markets.
There are links to some reviews if you want to read them.

This isn't a diver style watch anyway, so anyone buying this won't be considering a diver.

        • @tonyjzx: You get quality control. Come on man. Micro brands can't afford in-house movements and higher end finishing. They also don't spend millions on marketing and sponsorship. They fill gaps and often niches in the market for people who don't like your garden variety Seikos or Citizens or don't have the coin to drop on a grail. But like any business, they've got to start somewhere and they come and go. As a micro, Aragon has been around a long time and they have a good reputation for quality.

I just bought two Invicta pro divers from Amazon. Both to gift, but I may keep one to mod. Funny thing is that they both feel completely different. Bezel action, screw down crown and winding all feel different.
