  • Vitamix clone?

  • Looks similar to my aldi blender, which is fantastic, beats a friends $350 blender

  • Sorry, off topic, would you go for glass jug or polycarbon jug in general?

    • I believe that for safety reasons that high powered blenders must use polycarbon jugs.

lol @ 'commercial' but hey it'll probably do the job at home. Most people get bored of these once the novelty wears out so it's a good/cheap way to test the waters.

  • "Will it blend?"

      Do you even blend?

      • I think Stingy was referring to some Youtube video's called "Will it blend?" Take a look they have some entertaining vids :-)

  • Looks like a Vitamix knock off

  • Probably slightly off topic but I nearly bought something quite expensive from Mytopia recently, then I found out that it's run/owned by the same guy from the infamous AGR Machinery. I changed my mind. Not much risk on a $79 blender I suppose but just saying, don't expect much if it breaks.

Quick review for those considering - have this exact same one from the same store for about 2 years now (maybe more?).

We use ours every few days and it hasn't skipped a beat. Pulverizes Kale etc very nicely for healthy juices - I need them blasted to smithereens to drink it. We've had lower powered machines that just couldn't do this. Makes light work of ice, nuts etc as well. Great for whipping up soups. Really powerful unit and therefore quite noisy at full tilt but the trick of course is to switch it on at low power and then use the high speed pulse for less noise but also best results. Cleaning is straight forward. Light rinse jug, quarter fill with water and few drops of soap, whizz cycle and for the most part it cleans itself.

Very much a Vitamix clone - we have one of those too now. At $79 it's a no brainer. Yes Vitamix is better in some respects, but $700+ better? Probably not.

Your review sealed it for me so thanks! Just ordered one.

  • the price in the link provided has gone up by $10. They are selling a red colour of the same model for $99 so see the link below for it. I have just ordered one. Maybe I can now stop using my Kmart one which always smelled of smoke whenever i loaded it up.
