I know many of my colleagues would never wear one but in the qld heat, I find them much better than just wearing along sleeve shirt and rolling up sleeves. I'm a big fan of CT shirts but their short sleeve ones aren't as good a fit and the sleeves come to my elbows (not a good look). I'm 6ft 2in, slim build.
Anyone know of a store that sells slim fit short sleeve business shirts at a decent price that actually look good?

In answer to your question, I dont think CT or TM Lewin or the likes will selll the shirt you like. You're better off going for a different brand that sells casual shirts but you can wing it under a business shirt. Example, try finding a white Politix short sleeve shirt, they're usually all slim fit.
I do have a/c at work but have a short walk to and from transport. I will look into politic. Any other brands/stores?
I bought a Ben Sherman plain white, slim-fit short sleeve shirt from Myer.
They usually go well with shorts but can easily pass for a business shirt as they don't have the stupid icons and flaps
When I worked in an office any man wearing a short-sleeve business shirt was called Sipowicz for the day. It became such a big joke that our company started an annual Sipowicz Day and the whole office would wear one.
