I got some original (non-pc'd) versions of Enid Blyton stories yesterday, stoked. Long live Dick, Fanny and Madame Smack!

Love Bookfest, I always go the first and last day of each event and occasionally squeeze in another visit. They restock pretty frequently throughout (but stuff like the board games tends to go early)

They normally have some good last day discounts for anyone free on Australia day. From the last few times I've been it tends to be -
    HQ section is half price.
2.50 section is either $1 each or fill a big bag for $10
$1 section is two or three for $1.

These are a great way to find hard to find items, picked up a kickass Simpsons chess set from the early 90's yesterday for 5 bucks http://m.imgur.com/yKCYZHC

    • Cool chess set!

  • Bookfest is fantastic - especially on DVDs / Blurays. They're always checked and sealed so people can't chop and change (or steal) discs. They also have a surprising amount of stuff from overseas - usually UK - that might never have even been released here. Great for filling those gaps, or finding almost complete runs of series.

I picked up some absolute bargains yesterday - the complete Yes Minister / Yes Prime Minister in presentation boost, $40 - still in its original plastic wrap; The New Twilight Zone - Complete Collection - $35. Finding Dory and Suicide Squad Blurays - $5 each.

  • First attendance ever this afternoon. I had a great time. Will come back next time around.
