Address not showing on map, who to go?

Hi all, I just moved into a new estate in WA, Holland Park Piara Waters to be exact. For some reason on google map, only few street are shown on google map. My street name is listed there 6 months ago, but now it's gone for no reason. You can see the outline of the streets in the estate, but only few have names.

Makes it so annoying when you're ordering delivery & online orders! Wrote multiple feedbacks to google, but never heard from them. Any official channel I should go to? People that dealt with updating maps for google I guess. Cheers

  • google map is not really the most accurate map.

But why does this cause issues on delivery & online orders? Who is the delivery guys?

    • You think the pizza place or local courier use something other than Google maps?

      • Not sure I always have tradies, delivery drivers, Uber drivers called me to enquire about directions..I only ever use google map btw, so unsure about how updated my area map is in general

P/S just realised bing map got my street on the map…bloody useless google map these days

      • Local business delivery drivers should be knowing the area well including the new developments. Or at least it would be easy to direct them.
The Australian maps should have the address

        • You would think so, but unfortunately not.. Google just too popular to miss out

  • Just add the street names in Google Maps (literally google for that). Takes a day or two. You will need a gmail account for that.

    • done that many times..no uuse

      • ok. i added Topiary Avenue as a missing street name. See how I go.

        • Street names are live on Waze (which feeds Google Maps).

  • Do something spectacular newswise in your suburb. That will put you on the map. :)

    • Technically it's on the map, just not google map! One of the most popular app! How ironic is that!

  • My brother sometimes deliver in Piara Waters, and just agreed with your predicament :P i asked him how he would go about delivering if its not in Google Maps.

'drive around until I see the street and remember for future reference' …

EDIT : he just clarified that he uses the shire maps, because Google map is slow

    • just ask him to use bing map…for once I will start to support Microsoft product..

Sounds like Piara Waters needs a Monorail.

    • Monorail Monorail
I've sold monorails to Brockway, Ogdenville, and North Haverbrook, and, by gum, it put them on the map!

  • After having several people not find us using their GPS I checked a few of the mapping services and found a couple of streets incorrectly named leading people astray. Sent in requests and had them corrected after a week or two. Google, Apple and Open Street Maps all got fixed. Still hasn't helped with most people using old maps on their GPS though. If I need to provide directions I give them a nearby address and some extra directions.
