ADL/BRIS/MEL/PER/SYD to Paris from $1026 Return March - Sept 2017 Cathay Pacific Euro Summer / Peak Season

570

Absolutely fantastic airfares to get to Paris during peak season, on a simply fantastic, full service airline.

Some of the searches below will be cheaper through other airlines such as Air China & China Southern….However I've limited this deal strictly to Cathay Pacific. Of course as always with Cathay Pacific, luggage/drinks/meals are all inclusive.

Have included both Momondo & IWantThatFlight so that people also have a choice for their Online Travel Agent.

Heaps of dates available during peak travel season, I've included some sample dates but there are many more, feel free to post in the comments the dates you found so I can add them to the post!

The one I checked had 17 hr stop over in H.K. Long enough to shop and then sleep all the way home.
Not sure if you need H.K. visa and cost of same.

    • No visa necessary if you have Australian passport.

  • Awesome prices, especially during peak season. Doesn't get much cheaper for that period on full service.

  • 0ops. Only 3 hr HK stopover 26th April return 17 May from Melbourne. Great price for good airline

  • Got Singapore MEL-Heathrow in August for $1250 yesterday. Upper deck A380 all flights worth the extra.

    • Nice. Upperdeck economy is the way to go, if you don't already use it, make sure you check seatguru.com for your flights.

Do yourself a favour and stopover in HK for few days either way or even both ways. Hong Kong is a buzz with heaps to see and do .. 😆 …. !!

  • Nice OP - seems like there's now real competition to IWTF. Let's see what they come back with ;)

I've flown both Cathay Pacific (Syd-Lond return) and China Southern (Syd-Rome return) and they are very comparable products (food, seats, in flight entertainnent, new planes), don't discount China Southern so easily as being sub-par if you haven't even flown with them..

Not a safe place to visit now.

    • Just add a flag to your Facebook profile. Ez

    • Where is safe?

      • Check smartraveller.gov.au before neg me.

        • I didn't neg you. 4 others did though.

My statement, "where is safe" refers to the fact murders, kidnapping, car accidents, etc happen everywhere. If you want to remain safe, sit on your couch inside your home and get yourself some bubble wrap.

I'd rather get out and have fun myself, so much of the world to see and we are only here for a short time.

        • @berger: there are plenty of safe places to visit. Or you can wait some days/months/years until it is safe.

    This is amazing, thanks man.
$1042 in PEAK SCHOOL HOLIDAY time, July! Amazing…

Are you aware of if it's JUST paris. I'm trying to get to other spots in Europe but that's pretty cheap! Worth just paying for internal flights at that cost…

EDIT what the, now I can't find those fares again. Gah! left with china southern…

    • Tinker with the dates and also try IWTF - they will be there!

      • Yeh that's what's weird. I put in my dates and in the top bar chart with prices I'm getting ~$1100 but the flights that come up at the bottom show $1400-1500 with china southern

        • If you need any help PM me and I'll check it out for you

    • Secretflying have reported its even cheaper to go to Madrid :)

  • Is that really peak season?

    • +1

Yep. July in Europe = insanely busy.

Grew up in UK/Europe….UK schools are off 2nd week in July to first week in September. August is peak everything. In France,Italy many of the public services slooow down. I just booked 2nd week of Sept
Can be fun in peak season specially if you want to party and meet people.

      • totally agree, in fact I don't see flight available for these dates. Peak season title inappropriate?

  • Great deal.
For those interested, some dates have faster trips with different airlines for $100 extra.
For example, Sydney-Paris 26Apr-17May with Qatar Airways in 24h and return in 25hrs for $100 extra.
Might worth it to look at +$100-150 if you prefer to flight in less than 26 hrs.

  • Hows Cathay compared to Qantas?

    • +1

Flew with them Manchester to Sydney and was very happy. Easy transit in HK and service up there with Qantas. Good menu and snacks. Got plenty of extra bits to eat during the flight without issue.

      • Thanks for the input. So long as theyre not like Air Asia ill definitey check them out. Save a couple hundred bucks.

  • Anyone have experience booking with Flight Network ?

Sydney - Hong Kong 2 day stop over
    Hong Kong - London LHR
    London - Sydney

    Flying with Cathay

Price match Bestjet with Flight Centre, Bestjet have a few unfavourable reviews online.
just under $1200pp flying end August to early September. Flight Centre covered the credit card fee so racked up some points too.

    Thanks!

booked BNE - Amsterdam return for $1080 each in June (+$250 for infant). Very happy with it. Wanted to go mid June - early July but fares jumped to $2500!

The 'can't select seat' restriction is only when booking, once you've booked you can choose your seats, flights all looked empty (only a few seats reserved).

Now to decide what to do with the 17 hrs in HK!

    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!! I thought flying with a child under 2 years old was free on most airlines?

  • +2

Booked 12th April - 14th May Sydney return Paris with a 3 day stopover in HK, inc. 3 public holidays :)
