CARSALES

Noticed a common theme in Tyre Sales coupon codes, took a stab at "CARSALES" and what do you know, $50 off. No idea of terms & conditions or expiry date since I discovered this via random guess.

Thanks to webtonmoy, turns out you need to purchase 4 tyres.

I purchased 4 x Bridgestone D/L 400 tyres for $298 per tyre. Crazy expensive tyres for the new car, but last set lasted 60,000…what you can do!

So far I get from their cite, you need to buy 4 tyres. Can you please clarify or add to the post?

      Updated.

  • Last time I needed tyres , my local dealer was much cheaper than tyre sales. Pays to ring around.

  • If you're a member of a UNIONS you'll get 10% off at checkout but I suppose it will depend on what tyres you buy as to whether $50 off is more or less than 10%

  • Tyresales is not that cheap. I was shopping around for Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE003 and found Jax had them for $175 and Tyresales was $185 per tyre and said they will price match and offer another $5 off. But I found even a cheaper deal at tyrecompare.com.au. Ended up $159 per tyre including fitting/balancing and disposal of old tyres.

    • Just ordered these for $131 each (16"), as the best rate I could find was $129. So the extra $50 off made them far cheaper than anywhere else.

  • Yeah agreed, if you happen to be able to find the particular tyre cheaper elsewhere - great go there. For the tyre I was after it was within about $3-4. I found it slightly cheaper elsewhere, but need to get a wheel alignment and need it cleaned after the kids went nuts with sand from the beach - so worked out cheaper with the free clean.

Thought it may be helpful for someone else.

  • My search on 19565R15 gives those top recommendations:

    • Good Year Excellence 91H @ 119 each
    • Continental Premium Contact² 91H @ 170 each

Plus a hundred other options - half of those has "On SALE" label, so how do I know which one is worthy to buy? I sampled those two and found www.tyrecompare.com.au offers them $108 and $149 respectively - cheaper but without specifying whether fitting or shipping is charged separately.

  • How do you value the "free alignment" and "free car clean" services offered in those centres? I'm relatively inexperienced. I also don't know if "car clean" is just another word for "car washing", since I only came across the latter, which is not of much value, but OP mentioned more cleaning items, so they may be valued differently.

  • Have since had this done - honestly pretty disappointed. I had it done at Sutherland Nissan. They washed the car poorly and were supposed to vacuum it but didn't. My local guys do a much better job. Can't speak for other fitment centres.

Mechanically speaking I can't say I'm qualified to know any difference on the alignment. Car drives straight! I'll ask my mechanic next time it's serviced. Seems pretty standard offer from most tho.
