  • It's 5.5 litres apparently.

  • Castrol, not Caltex. Castrol is a brand of BP. Caltex's oil brand is Havoline.

Sorry that my bad. I have updated that.

This oil was available on an offer from SC for $14.39 last month

Repco have previously offered this oil complete with a Repco branded filter for $19.49

Whilst this is a "deal", its not really a fantastic offer.

  • Castrol GTX Modern Engine Oil, ironically, there are much better options for a modern car as it's a mineral based oil.

GTX is fine for an older car and you change oils every 5,000km, however semi-syn or even fully syn oil are so cheap, I'm not sure why you'd use a mineral oil for any car made after 1990.

Castrol make some great oil, but GTX isn't one of them for your modern car.

  • Keep in mind that their ryco filters can often be DEARER than OEM ones. This is the case with my parents Honda Jazz (which you wouldnt want this oil for anyway)
