very nice wine?it was horrible and bitter on release , same goes to other 2011 bin series from penfolds. i don't think it was $54 on release, no way. its around $30ish. bin 389 , 407 and 150 would be on $50ish

Yup, 2011 is around 30ish and other years are around 40ish.

Agreed. This is normal price. https://winehouse.com.au/wine-list/penfolds/penfolds-bin-28
    No deal.

    • But… Your link says $36 each, this is $35… Not exactly worthy of a neg

    • $36 per bottle times 2 plus a minimum of $10 postage…

  • Technically a bargain but be sure to know that your only saving a few bucks + the price of shipping.

2011 a terrible vintage and I understand Pennies still have stock which has been hard to shift (hence slight discount). Plenty of other greater and cellarworthy wines available at the $35 mark - so not a good buy IMO.

  • this vintage was $25 a bottle in a case of 6 back when the fridge deal was on in 2014

remember because everyone complained it was a real stinker compared to year before (and after)

looks like DMs is making up some store prices to disguise this as a deal

EDIT: if this is your thing though, good price after the discounting

Rather spend $26 on a Mount Langi Ghiran Cliff Edge Shiraz which will make this wine taste like dishwater.

    • Best red i have ever had was the 2010 cliff edge Shiraz, got the last bottle for $22 last year at DM, wish they had two dozen for that price!

      • Well done, great vintage and amazing price.

Picked up a 6 pack from Winemarket last year for $130 after cashback. That's under $22 per bottle. It was 2013 vintage which was said to be a good one. I think if you are patient there are better deals around. Have not tried it yet, it went straight into the pool room :-).

Wow! Normally $54!? This stuff is often on special for $25 in NZ and I bought several cases of it when I used to lived in the UK for £7 ($12 a bottle). What a rip off.

    • How much did that house cost you in UK?
