Aaron D200 LCR Speakers - $299 + Freight (Save $400) @ Apollo Hifi

110

This allows a trick of psycho acoustics to come into play and make the listener believe there is a single normal center speaker. That is a big advantage because you no longer have to find a place for, or put up with, an extra unsightly box. The grills come in either black or silver cloth colour. As with the D-100 they are purposely designed to match up with our SW-200 and SW-400 Subwoofers.

These speakers are surprisingly clear and full bodied for their price and size. They make excellent wall mount speakers. The D200's can be used with either Home theater surround receivers, or stereo amplifiers.

FWIW, $16.97 shipping to me in Newy, which is pretty reasonable IMHO…great deal here, I wish I needed them or could muster up enough cognitive distortions to get past the purely want stage! ;)

Seems like your standard price… It was the same on the 10th of Jan

Sort your titles out Rep, you've been here long enough

    • +2

Almost have to tick the associate box and collect a payslip with the amount of revisions you've had to do on his posts there spackbace!

      • Nothing like a first world problem on a quiet Sunday arvo, eh…

        • +2

10 posts, still can't put his store in the title… Surely not that difficult to advertise your company properly is it?

        • @Spackbace: Well, rather than changing it yourself & then complaining about it, just use the report button…

        • +1

          @StewBalls:

Which just leaves a mod to do it rather than me. And considering a report was put in within 3mins of posting, and hasn't been actioned, I'm guessing mods are busier than me today ;)

          It's about educating… And common-sense

        • @Spackbace: The OP had already revised the posting within three minutes of the initial post, obviously in response to comments/requests/report.

Was it perfect, no…but was it serviceable, absolutely. Commonsense tells me that we don't require perfection, just enough salient information to get the job done.

          @StewBalls:

Store in title is a prerequisite. It's there in all FAQs, there in the helpful tips when you go to submit a deal. Not to mention the fact it's been added to all of the Reps other posts, so anyone with any sense would see the changes made and go "oh right ok that's what I need to do".

Not asking for tags, not asking for anything complicated as far as I can see…

Surely anyone who owns/runs a store and subsequently advertises that store would know how to do some basic marketing, like mentioning your store at every opportunity…

    • Im in Japan. Another store rep is posting this. I will inform them. Thanks

  • Hmmmm. Currently running a pair of Aaron ATS-2s with a reasonable Yamaha centre. They are pretty old, but sound pretty good. Any idea of whether this would be an upgrade or a downgrade?

  • +1

Just got to remember these are only middle/top speakers and 50cms tall.

Also Aaron shut up shop last year. Not sold to another company, Hume L'Estrange retired.
I do not know if any arrangements have been made about warranties as I have a pair of ATS-4 mk2 still under a 10 year warranty

    • They are still carrying spares at there factory in Ballina (northern NSW) but I am not sure about warrantee situation.

      • As the business is closed and all fixture and fittings where sold off I was lead to believe.
Items where up for sale on gumtree

        • oh… shit

          Wish i knew

      • Queensland Speaker repairs in Brisbane is covering warranty

  • Warranty Period: 5 years

    Any reviews though?

    • From the aaron website
Warranty is 10 years, but who is going to honour it ??

Well for starters OP could step in and confirm whether Apollo would honour the warranty and if so whether it is 5 or 10 years and what would happen if it couldn't be repaired. ACL says you go back to the retailer, not the manufacturer for warranty.

  • The picture is kinda deceiving since they are just bookshelf speakers

    Cabinet Dimensions: 168 x 95 x 505 (WxDxH)

Nevertheless, seems like a good deal

  • It's like… magic!
