They don't exactly go out of their way to make the store comfortable with men, what with their rich use of pink which society interprets as quite feminine. Indeed, 97% of their customers are apparently females. Are their male-focussed chemists as an alternative for men who often have to ask embarrassing medical questions or for awkward advice and would feel more comfortable talking to male staff about it?

I'm a Pink Sister. My wife thinks it's hilarious.

Let's not forget how we're all "Priceline Sisters"!

    • Lol never noticed they are feminine stores. I go in every now and then but don't ask awkward questions.

    • One of the reasons why I go to Priceline is because its more geared towards women (yes I'm female), mostly in the retail section. Pharmacy section is more neutral, but since the majority of customers are female, it makes it a bit more comfortable than say Chemist Warehouse.

all chemist warehouse stores are an eyesore

Why do you feel so threatened by some pink branding? I do agree they need to stop calling their loyalty members ”sisters”

I love the double standards here, if we had a pharmacy geared towards men, all the feminists would be up in arms about it and the pharmacy probably wouldn't even eventuate.

Shhh let them have their pink chemists & sisterhood clubs. Whilst they think they're equal, we won't have to pay them equally.

If they get more money, we get less and they'll just waste it on stuff from pink chemists, who will start expanding and they'll pop up like coffee shops. Even worse JB Hi-Fi, Bunnings, etc will go out of business due to less manmoney in circulation. Its why we got Trump elected, the sisters are too busy fighting again him to worry about equal pay.

        • What the hell I just said they shouldn't call it a sister club because it's sexist. Guys like you just can't open your eyes and see there are women out there that truly want equal treatment… A real feminist doesn't hate men. This is why nothing changes.

If they really did want equal treatment then they'd believe in egalitarianism. To me personally, feminism has negative connotations associated with it in that women will be quiet when it suits them, but will play the victim when it doesn't.

@montorola: I believe in egalitarianism. I am humanist too. I believe men have rights. I believe men are underrepresented in some parts of society and need support too. A true feminist simply wants gender equality, nothing more nothing less (and NOT for selfish reasons). The word 'feminist' has been wrongfully tarnished by the crazies.
