Celebrate Australia Day earlier and score a free steak sandwich, but you'll have to hurry down…
Because it's only for 2 hours on WEDNESDAY.

The best part? It's a whole new, Aussie-themed steak sanger, called 'The Duncan' (named after the guy Slim Dusty loved to have a drink with), it's all steak, lettuce and cheese, but they've figured out thre recipe for a brilliantly weird Vegemite mayo, and that's why it's so special.

Here's the catch - for your free sanger, you need to head to Empire Steak at 61 Little Collins Street in the Melbourne CBD, and you need to be there WEDNESDAY between 12pm and 2pm and ask for 'The Duncan'.

  Am I reading wrong but the link says tomorrow between 12 and 2 "To receive a free sanger, head to Empire Steak on Wednesday between 12pm and 2pm and quote "The Duncan"

  I tried this place just after it opened. Decent, but small for the price.

  They also take forever to cook so make sure you take at least one hour for lunch if you are working.

  Just finished it.
  Worth getting for free. I would never buy it.
  There's no 'vegemite' flavour to the 'vegemite mayo'. Don't let it ward you off.

      I got there at 11:45 so I was about 8th from the front of the line ordered at 12:05 or so.
      From ordering the meal? About 10 minutes waiting.

  Waited in line about 15 minutes to order, but then waited about the 40 minutes for the actual sandwich.

  The steak itself was pretty good for $0.00.

  Went at 1:24 - barely any queue, only about 5 in line and a lot of people waiting around for order numbers. Were allowing Takeaway.

  However as of 1:30 they announced that they were out of Steak Sandwiches and were taking email addresses for everyone else to come back at any time for a free sandwich.
