What's the better way to go

Bose SoundTouch 10 or a Sonos Play 1

    Bose. I have Bose Soundtouch 20. Love the programmable buttons which means you can play 6 channels without a phone. Sound is great https://www.cnet.com/news/best-wi-fi-music-systems/

    So the Sonos Play 1 has better sound?

    Sonos, only thing Bose do well is noise cancelling headphones, sub-par sound quality all round on their products from my experience.

    Just went out and got two Sonos Play 1's

    Thanks for the help

    Set them up and was really confused how they connected to my network without me entering my network password

    Anyone know??

      I guess you used an android phone to connect? The phone would have shared the wifi details.

    Great choice! I have 3 sonos play1s and they're amazing. TBH Bose (brother has them) are quite good too, but personally, I prefer the Sonos.

    I'm tossing up between the two as well.
    Was set on the Sonos and came across the Bose in store. They sound much better than I expected and IMO the look better too. I really don't like the look of the larger Sonos units.

    The Sonos app is better though and more refined; however, the Bose programmable buttons makes it very easy to get music going without needing a device.

    Will think about it more as you basically buy into the system.

      I owned the Bose Soindtouch 10 for one week and the app made me crazy plus the speaker slave kept dropping out so I took it back and got the Sonos Play 1

      I must say the Sonos is 100% in everything

      Better packaged
      Better built
      Better sound
      Better app
      Wifi and Ethernet

      Truely amazing sound, you won't regret it

        Thanks for the feedback.
        I know quite a few people with Sonos units and all rave about them and how easy and seamless they are. Probably will go the Sonos too.

    Sonos for speakers forsure! Unless you're getting a whole setup.
    But the play 1s are awesome!

    How are you finding the Sonos OP? I've listened to the Bose Soundtouch 300 sound bar and Sonos Playbar in the shops 10+ times now and think the Sonos sounds tinny and flat compared to the Bose. But everyone online appears to be drinking the Sonos coolaid?

    Just got a Sonos Play 1 from https://zumi.com.au/ and paying later for it with zippay.
    I absolutely love it - and would suggest it if you've got decent wifi at home. I want another;)
