In certain models, yes I think the X1 Carbon is one of them, so definitely worth paying more upfront to future proof

Same With cloud storage I find that 64GB is plenty for my usage. All the photos and videos automatically get backed up and moved to iCloud....

I used to use 1Password and really like it. Only reason I moved to Bitwarden is that it does everything just as well and was far cheaper.
