CLKBANK*COM_ unknown/illegal transactions on CommBank CC

I noticed three illegal transactions from CLKBANK*COM on my CommBank CC. It had international transaction fees as well, but surprisingly all three amount were fully refunded. Anyone faced similar issues with such retailer? Looks like i should report and file dispute and get all three international transactions fees refunded.

report and get a new card ASAP. this is just a warm up to see if the card works, they're going for the big purchases next. the longer you know about it and don't call the bank the more liability you take on if something does happen. Call the Bank now.

    • +1 on this. The criminals test your card before reselling this.

Your card number has likely been stolen. Unlike in the USA where hacked companies like Target need to inform you if your CC details are stolen, there is (as yet) no such law in Aus.

If buy from a merchant in China, it is best to use a separate or even pre-paid card and use it only for online transactions. I learned this the hard way in the early days of AliExpress.

  • Put a temporary lock on the card via the app.

  • Sounds suss. And lots of people on google are suss too. Follow the above advice.

Strangely enough, a yahoo answer participant said it may have been a business that utilised click bank services. I doubt it. Get a new card to be safe

    • May have been. Like small ones put through Walmart. Easy merchant to test it before rinsing it dry.

The first thing I thought of was Clickbank which is a platform for selling info products, usually of dubious quality, that acts as a middleman for publishers and sellers. If an Clickbank affiliate makes a sale they get paid a commission which is possibly where the scam is. You may be able to report the transaction to them if that's what it is.

Odd that it got refunded all by itself.

    • Maybe a scammer used your card and then Clickbank found out and reversed it?
