Decent MFI certified lightning cables

Hi,

I was just wondering if someone had found a particularly good alternative for lightning cables to the standard Apple ones that also happen to be cheaper (MFI certified)?

It seems the sun in my apartment makes them deteriorate a lot quicker than they used to. Haven't managed to break one previously and now 5 in a month have split.

I look at the ones on various retailers i.e., Banggood et al, however I have no clue as to how they stack up? What have you found works best?

Cheers

  • We bought some from Dick Smith. We wanted extra long ones so I could play with my tablet whilst it was charging. We haven't had any problems with these going bellyup when we install new IOS versions, as opposed to some cheaper ones we bought. They do have normal lengths as well.

They are really good thick cables which work well as my kitties are a tad prone to chewing cables.

I have bought a couple of the Anker ones. They seem to get really good reviews and come in 3, 6 or 10ft. I've just ordered some more 10Ft ones :D my 2m Apple cables just dont last.

Note: Only specific colours ship to Aus. In the 10ft variant, only space grey ships to Aus. Cant remember what colours in 3 and 6 ft.

If you're already there, the AmazonBasics cables are certified and cheap. Come in two-packs, a variety of lengths (I keep a 4" one on my battery pack).

    • Anker ones are excellent.

I always order several cables when I'm in the US. I have amazon prime and they usually come in a couple of days.

+1 to Amazon Basics but they wouldn't ship to Australia last time I checked.

  • I've bought the 3 pack ones from EBay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/262297501805?_trksid=p2057872.m27…

seems to work fine, doesnt charge blazingly fast but good for office or nighttime charging.

  • any updates on these? need to get a few that will be light on the pocket but not total crap: looking at kogan currently
