We are traveling via Singapore Changi on both legs
Tickets are issued by virgin but are Singapore flights throughout

  • They have changed the amount to SGD 20 since 1st Oct 2016. I traveled last month and got SGD 20.

    • thanks was that via virgin code share?

      • nope Singapore airlines.

Passengers must be travelling on flights operated by Singapore Airlines or SilkAir, both into and out of Singapore. Any connecting flight into or out of Singapore that is not operated by Singapore Airlines or SilkAir must be operated by Air New Zealand, specifically flight numbers SQ4281, SQ4282, NZ281 or NZ282 or Scoot, specifically flight numbers TZ591 or TZ592.

        • Thanks

  • If tickets are issued via Virgin you're not eligible. To confirm this, if your eticket # doesn't start with 618, 629 or 086 then you do not qualify for the voucher.

    • Yup they are

    • sorry, I meant they not, they start with # 7. so we don't qualify

  • OP, virgin issued tix are not eligible for Changi voucher.

    • Thank you, got 6 tickets was hoping get for a nice lunch :(

      • You can still get a nice lunch. They have some really lovely hawker style food outlets all over the joint. I love Singapore airport.

        • love Singapore, second best to Melbourne IMO. having worked there for 6 months made me realised it is very similar to Australia

  • Think you also get Changi voucher if travelling with Jetstar as well. We received 20 SGD on our last trip in July last year. Not sure if that deal is still active or not.

    • Nice, did you get that on Jetstar??

      • Yes my partner did. Has to be transit via Changi on both arrival and departure and Jetstar flight for both leg.

        • Wow that's amazing
I believe Jetstar don't even code share with Singapore
          Good on you

        • @777:

Probably because Jetstar often uses Changi as their main transit hub. When you fly international with Jetstar next time read the booklets that's in front of your seat. That's how I found out.

        • @nightelves: thanks going to Malaysia in June, should try Jetstar via Singapore then!

  • Any word on this being extended throughout 2017?

    • +1

I hope it is. Will be flying to Japan with SG in December this year. I wonder if it includes extended stop overs too. On the way back we're having a 2 day stop over in Singapore.

      • also travelling in DEC with a stop over in Sing on the way back. fingers crossed.

        • I was there they said no as it the next connecting flight should be within 24hrs
As evol mentioned the tickets should start with 618, 629 or 086

Hey so, updated or not? not sure, but i took another read of the SQ website, i believe they have updated the voucher terms.

For passengers with tickets issued between 1 April 2016 and 30 September 2017 and departing from your point of origin from between 1 April 2017 and 31 March 2018.

so basically if you buy upto 30th Sep 2017 your still good to go with $20 voucher for use until March 2018.
