  • Ah ok. So you can't stack it and get a years worth.

    • Set up 12 different cards

  • I have a netflix US account, will these Netflix cards work?

    • It should.

      • How so?

        • I did the same in past. It just convert the amount from A $ to US $, but you get same value in terms of duration.

        • @Rashed: that worked for the optus prepaid deal but not for gift cards

        • @julz: I got Australian netflix gift card as gift couple of months back. Tried it, and it worked. I use US netflix BTW, signed up before netflix came to Australia.

        • @Rashed: YMMV

        • @Rashed: hrmm interesting. Cheaper to pay via the Australian Netflix site anyway with the current exchange rate.

        • @Rashed:
Didn't work for me - I got a response - the code cannot be used with your account. Time to switch to Australian netflix soon anyway.

    • Pretty sure it won't. I had a us account and had to cancel it and sign up again via the Australian Netflix site to use my Australian gift card credit.

    • no it most likely won't. I've got $au150 worth of cards, which I got cheap from Woolies last year, but they're not valid with my Netflix Canadian a/c

  • Stupid question… if I buy a netflix giftcard how do I apply it in netflix? Just in settings somewhere?

  • +2

Deal starts on Wednesday 1/03/2017. Add to heading!

  • Cotton on can't be used online

  • +1

Nice points freebie. Will just prepay 2 months worth of Netflix with a $30 card.

  • Can we use the Best Restaurants card at Hungry Jacks?

  • +3

Doesn't have to be $30 netflix, etc, it applies to cards of any demonination:

2000 BONUS flybuys points when you purchase any Cotton On, Netflix, Best Restaurants or Best Spas Gift Cards and swipe your flybuys card at checkout. Offer valid from 01/03/17 to 07/03/17.

    • Anyone know the minimum gift card amount for any of these stores?

      • in theory it's $20, but that's if you can find them.

        • Plenty of $20 Netflix GC at Coles Westmead.

  • Does anyone know if the Cotton:on card works at Cotton:on kids?

  • Found $20 card at Coles, but waiting to see if the 2000 points turn up.

    • got your points yet? just wondering how long it takes.

      • +2

no, it must take a few days

but I've downloaded the catalogue & kept my receipt just in case

        • +1

I don't think you'll get them unless you contact them. I purchased a $20 Netflix card and my regular Fly Buys points showed up in my account but not the 2,000 bonus. I've messaged them on Social Media (Facebook) and europa is going to give them a call.

        • @sagitox: thanks.thats very cheeky.

        • Good idea! I've just downloaded the catalogue too!

  • Bought $20 Netflix GC today - will wait for points now. :)

  • I found out that you cant use the gift card if you are subscribing to Netflix via iTunes

    • Have you tried logging in via the website & applying? I'll be interested to see if that works

  • I bought a $20 Netflix card today after reading and re-reading the sign above the Gift Cards. It said "any" Netflix card.

[waits patiently for her 2,000 Fly Buys points]

If I don't get them, I'll get mad, throw a chair and then write a strong worded email to Coles! If I do, then YAY!

    • I purchased $20 Netflix GC and I could see that the bonus points weren't added. Will speak to the CC on Monday

      • Grrr. I'm getting mad! I'm going to use Facebook to contact Coles. This is unacceptable. It said nowhere that it had to be $30 of Netflix. Even in the image it had a $20 Netflix card!!

        • The catalogue says when you purchase any…Netflix…giftcards so doesn't matter what denomination. V.v.cheeky.

        • @supabrudda: I know! Tell me about it! I'm very interested in hearing what they have to say!

        • @supabrudda: I got a response from Coles, they said it was best if I contact Flybuys, not them and to call their number. I sent them a message on FB instead, as I hate talking in the phone. Wonder how long until I get a response.

        • @supabrudda: I got a response from FlyBuys via Facebook:

"Thank you for your enquiry. This was an in-store offer and the small print required you to spend $30 for the offer to apply. Unfortunately a $20 Gift Card purchase did not qualify you. We apologize for any inconvenience caused."

This is unacceptable, and I let them know about it. I read the small print. It didn't mention it. There must be some even smaller small print that I have no idea where it is (hidden from the customer). This surely can't be legal. At least have the small small print (this magical small print they talk about) able to be read by the customer.

        • @sagitox: crap got duped by Flybuys and Coles! I never saw that fine print.

        • @julz: Neither! I am trying to find this magical small small print and I can't seem to find it anywhere. I can't wait to hear their response!

        • @sagitox: they can't hide from the any card, send them a copy odf the JPG in the post. it says any doesn't say $30 min. they can't have it both ways. might be time to start hammering them on social media

        • @supabrudda: I just did! But there is a major update! They've answered someone on their FB page and said "Hi, thanks for making us aware of this. We will have this fixed by end of the week, your points will be allocated then. Thanks ^MH" This person bought a $20 Netflix card too!

        • +1

@sagitox: haha companies hate social media because it's all too easy to rat them out.

oh well I'll wait until next week.

        • @supabrudda: I love social media. It's the best way I can communicate with companies, as I hate phone calling them as a) it usually costs me money to do so, where social media is free (apart from an internet connection), b) I can better express myself through written word than verbal word.

        • @sagitox: and there's no dispute on what was said (with social media, it's generally public so they have to be nice ;-)

        • @supabrudda: If you write on their main page that everyone can see, yeah. But I often do it in a private message. If they answer something I don't like, then I bring it to the attention of others on their main page.

    • From my experience, some bonus flybuy points take time to be show up.

      • In my message to them, I basically just asked when I would expect the points to be added to my account (as they still might appear). I just casually mentioned what was written in the catalogue and that I should be expecting the points soon (just asking when). Will be interested in their response!

  • Same as everybody here. Bought a $20 netflix GC. Awaiting the points

  • Nice deal on a $30

  • Major update! Decided to check out the Facebook page for FlyBuys and found out others have bought the $20 Netflix card and were complaining they didn't get the bonus points. Obviously the person replying to the PM's or direct messages on the FlyBuys Facebook have no idea as FlyBuys have responsed to the person who bought a $20 Netflix card and said:

"Hi, thanks for making us aware of this. We will have this fixed by end of the week, your points will be allocated then. Thanks ^MH"

So we will be getting points then?

See the post on FB here: FlyBuys Facebook Post

  • Got my 2k points today. That was from a $20 netflix GC

    • me too !

    • Yep! Same!

  • I got my 2,000 Fly Buys points!! Finally!
