  • Just to clarify, you mean from the beginning, not using the Scratch programming language to interact with Excel?
Assuming you mean Excel from novice level, if you are employed, many businesses happily pay to upskill their employees.

If that is not an option, there is free online training of varying quality. I'm pretty sure you can get 30 days free via Linda.com if you sign up via Linkedin.com
Other low cost online training is via udemy or similar.

If you need sit in a computer lab I'd suggest your local TAFE. E.g. http://tafeqld.edu.au/course/16864/microsoft-office-beginner…

If money is no object, you can get plenty of corporate training for $700 per day.

First, you need a project. Perhaps start with a willingness to draft a budget. Then use the resources suggested. Aim to conquer addition, subtraction, x, division, BODMAS, lookups and an If statement. This will give you 95% of what you need in business/life.

  • Youtube…books are boring.

    • Maybe but I find nearly every video on YouTube whether a training vid or just junk has some kind of annoying music and some ppl can actually still read and don't need audio/video based training LOL

  • Thank you for all the replies.

All of the above but my suggestion is focus on 1 exercise; how to apply a specific formula, how to make a table/graph and expand on this as excel is pretty endless to the things it can let you expand into.

Also I would suggest when you have a good understanding of excel you look at using excel key shortcuts; there is pages of shortcuts that can be used so just keep memorizing a few and expanding. If you can show this skill to an employer it will be a big plus

If you need further explaining on how to perform something in excel you should try google 'excel help forum' the community there is great and have been able to help me with any problem I have had

  • The best way to learn is by getting into thw deep end where if you want somwthing you need to work hard and boy do you actually learn.

  • There is a free Udemy Excel course on the front page:
