  • Wanted to get one of those 750TI card for a while now. Is there a downside to that particular model?

    • Warranty is hard to get

    • this model requires a 6-pin connector, some others dont. i prefer the no 6-pin for a cleaner look

  • Nice price on the g900

  • Hard to justify the 750ti price even tho it is cheap…the performance when in perspective with cards like 1060 rx480 etc….really this should be around$50 obviously it wont happen

    • Card is aimed at the lower specced medium /older pcs…

    • Depends on what you're looking for. The GTX 750Ti is probably best suited for a HTPC; compared as a budget gaming card against the 1060 or RX480 then, yes, they'll best it by a wide margin. Still, this is possibly the cheapest the 750Ti has been. And, if you want it for only $50 then just wait another few months and it will naturally drop further (at which time there will always be another 'better' card available…).

        The GTX 750Ti is probably best suited for a HTPC;

What decade are you posting from? Integrated graphics now does UHD 60Hz video no problem. Even cheap ARM SoCs do it.
The 750Ti is a gas-guzzling monster truck in comparison to the WRX that's in current-day integrated graphics.

The cooling fans alone will disqualify this from htpc use in 2017.

        • Ive read reviews where the much better rated RX 460's use a lot more power (despite card having better specs… power usage is where it fails)

Personally happy playing The Witcher 3 and those types of games @ decent frame rates on medium res

Fine for people who play CSGO, Overwatch, LoL, Dota etc.

    • Its also about 1/3 the price, still able to play most new games at 1080p with medium settings.

    • Newbs are paying $250 new on ebay lel.

  • What are the razer kbd+mice like?

    • +1

      Bad.

Keyboard is non-mechanical meaning that it has a mainly inflated price due to misinformed customers.

Mouse is just marketing and isn't really on special since the rrp is inflated to begin with. Regardless, they have poor specs designed as high end due to marketing. The Logitech is better in every way.

Lol … Don't get the Razer if you're wondering.

    Sometimes I find myself wishing I'd bought a G900 instead of a G502 …

Thanks I bought a G403 wireless in my last deal i posted and have the scroll wheel rattle issue the second i opened the box.
was going to hit some review vids on something that isn't logitech.
I now have G403 wired already sent away for warranty (for the exact same rattle issue that according to lots of google searches was only meant to be the first batch problem) and now the G403 wireless version to do warranty.

      kinda over Logitech atm.

  • Hello I'm a computer noob, so hopefully someone here can help me. My graphic card blew up few months ago but I live in a rural area which I have no access to computer shops like msy, so I'm thinking of buying one online but then I am not sure whether which graphic card is compatible with my system.
Is there any ways I can figure that out?

Previously I have a MSi R9 Radeon 280x, may I know will the 750Ti be compatible with the system?

    Thanks :)

not a good idea to mix nvidia gpus with amd chips** i dont think

      • Previously i have had an AMD GPU running without issues in an Nvidia chipset motherboard without issues. Even less of a problem switching from an AMD GPU to Nvidia GPU, uninstall AMD drivers then install Nvidia drivers.

      • Was an issue like 15 years ago, not realy now.

      https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/

Enter your computer parts into this website and it will automatically tell you whether they are compatible or not. It's a great resource.

      • Thanks unclenige! :)

    • The concerns you have might be the slot on your motherboard, power supply and the display adapters (HDMI,HDCP,VGA,DVI)

Since you have R9 280x the power supply should be fine also the slot should fit assuming it's PCI 3.0 double bracket space.

    • Since you had an R9 280x, then the 750 ti (or basically anything) will work, but it will be a BIG drop in performance.

      It's a much slower card:

      http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html

What games do you play on it? Do you need the settings maxed?

      Better options include:

Similar (maybe slightly worse) performance: GTX 1050 ti 4GB (around $200)
      http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=gtx+1050+ti…

Significantly better performance: RX 470 (around $250)

I used to be a hardcore gamer, but I got a PS4 recently so I didn't bother getting a graphic card for few months but … I miss my pc gaming, especially Dota.. so to be honest I just want a graphic card able to play Dota on max setting (don't think that require a strong graphic card lol) , but I'm running on a 34inch Samsung UHD monitor.. so don't know this card will be compatible with this monitor or not..

        • Best to google something like "DOTA 2 benchmarks 2160" to see how fast it will run at UHD res on various cards. If the card you want is not in the benchmark list, find one that's equivalent performance using the link I gave above (Tom's hierarchy chart).

  • You can get the razer mamba tournament edition from scorptec (and other places) for $99…

    • I m pretty sure this is the wireless version that retails for 300 at razer store.

That aside, how's msy and their delivery service?

      • Ahh, my bad.
