Cheaper elsewhere means no deal. OP you need to check others prices before posting here.

  • Way too much for a fridge.

    • +6

Not for these fridges. They are far better than the standard fridge.

      • Why. What do they do that other fridges don't?

        • Look through the Whirlpool thread below.

      • We purchased a Mitsu 4 door fridge last year… they are a little more expensive but worth every cent.

Not even close to a bargain champ

    Absolute rip off

Yeah not a bargain, but I own one of the smaller mitsi drawer fridges and it is hands down the best fridge I've ever owned.

At this price, i'd want it to self stock :-p

    • Thanks for the link - but wow that thread is huge and goes all the way back to 2010!

Would be great if the OP/associate could provide some comment on why this fridge is so premium priced.

Start on page 3 with my posts, mostly on pages 3,4,5 (wfdtamar). If you just read mine I give a pretty good review of the 562 litre model which is virtually the same.

    • This fridge was significantly cheaper at Bing Lee when you posted …

In a nutshell, 5 year total warranty. Japanese made. Inverter compressor, extremely efficient and quiet. All compartments can be temperature controlled. Some can be either freezer or fridge. Ice tray works very well (you place a tank of water in the fridge compartment) and you can turn it off or make it run in fast 'party' mode. The Versa compartment can freeze, cool hot food, super freeze, semi freeze. Bottom drawer is chiller room for veg, drinks. Freezer drawer is a good size (Freezer & veg drawer have a tray on top for small things).

The only niggle with mine (which is a bit smaller) is there aren't a lot of places for big bottles/milk in the fridge, but you can store them in the front of the bottom drawer so it still works fine. Or lay them flat.

They're also quite a compact fridge given the internal storage size. Mine fits into a conventional (non double door) sized space.

Also they're the smallest fridges with highest tech. Most manufacturers think high tech means huge US style monster.

    • Yeah you might have a similar one to me, 2 drawer and 1 fridge compartment like 60cm wide or something. Mine was $1450 and a great deal, not sure the OP deal translates that. Ozbargain not whirlpool :-)

I was really interested in this Rolls Royce fridge last year when we were shopping for a new fridge. This is the only 'Made in Japan' fridge in Aust and comes with 5 year warranty peace of mind. All the owner reviews gave it a glowing 5 STARS and I have no doubt it's very nice fridge except the price. For those who are interested to get one, do note that the shelvings are non-adjustable so it is not quite as flexible when you compare with other brands. This fridge series (5xx/6xx/7xx) was released in Aust back in 2012 and Mitsu has not release an update model ever since for the Aust market which is a bit disappointing.

The 7xx model has a massive ice maker tray. Great for families who go through alot of ice but if you dont, you could use it as another freezer drawer.

  • Now, if they would make a multidraw fridge where each drawer could be user adjustable to either freezer or normal cold, I would be a starter. Each person has different preferences. Just thought I'd state the obvious.

but the price is not anything special, been cheaper many times

Free advertising. Look at the number of clicks.

  • Harvey Superstore should have these on display. As for pricing 2nds World (if there's a store in your area) would have the cheapest price.
