Ticketek Charged Twice Need HELP

Hi..
I bought a event ticket for a group with ticketek and went to event. After few days i found i was charged twice for the whole ticket.
I tried to call customer care but cannot get the line on the busiest customer care. so, i tried the filling up form on their site. they responded but for refund i had to contact again. tried but no luck.
and i tried to post on their facebook and somebody called me…
They were saying that i bought ticket twice..2* lot of 6 tickets.. i denyed as i did not get any confirmation email or mobile ticket for both lot. I just got confirmation for one lot of 6 ticket. She said they can not refund me.
she was saying she will send me the tickets now as they have it as proof.
Can anyone please what should i do now in this case..
It is more money as a group.. if that was just one ticket it wont bother me.. but around 500 on me now..
Please help… any suggestions will be much appreciated

    Dispute via your bank.

  • Writing a (public) post on their facebook wall usually speeds things along with this stuff.

  • Reading between the lines of your description, did you press the purchase button twice with a gap inbetween? From their end they will have web records of your actions and their responses. It's slack if they don't prevent duplicate transactions, as it's easy, but do try to describe your actions as when this inevitably gets disputed with the bank/CC, their defence will be something like you purchased at this time and this other time. Depending on your mail server, you might be able to prove only one mail was sent from mail server records. Maybe your internet banking will say if they were charged at close to the same time. Before escalating to contesting the charge, I would probably ring the bank to check the exact time when each charge was made.

    I do know that my credit card blocks the same company for the same amount for about half an hour. Happened at Woolworths and I got declined and I couldn't figure out why.

  • Did you manage to get this resolved? I have just had the same thing happen to me. I have sent Ticketek a message via their website. No response yet. And their phone number is constantly busy so unable to speak to anyone. Have also disputed it with my credit card company and am now waiting to hopefully have the charge refunded.
