90
C10AU

Been hunting one of these mics for streaming and could only find them stocked at JBhifi.
This seller on ebay has the same price as JBhifi but delivered. When used with the current ebay promo the price is a decent saving on RRP.

Great mic but JB will do it for $149, just ask for a deal. Might even get it for less if your getting more than just the mic.

I do have the receipt if anyone needs it, its about 6 months old but should still work.

    • I'm in SA and none of the JBhifi stores in this state had it in stock. It was only available on-line with extra shipping which was more expensive than this deal.

Bought it for $170 last June. Good Mic but the 3.5mm stereo headphone jack is very bad

    • Care to elaborate on the headphone jack? I bought one of these mics recently and although I haven't used it very much (yet), I haven't noticed any problems with the headphone jack.

      • The headphone jack itself is working fine but the quality of replay is awful IMO. I need to select a different output source when I need to listen to my recordings.

  • Do you stream on twitch?

Kinda pricey for a mic and pop filter.

You'll also need to buy a shock mount or ghetto rig something if you don't want your viewers hearing every bump and keyboard press as loud bangs.

  • I purchased this microphone for about $120 and absolutely love it. Went from some hissy/static noise wireless headset to this and a decent pair of headphones.

I've got a Cherry Blue keyboard but hate Push to Talk in games like League of Legends. With a bit of tweaking I was able to sit this mic about 50cm away from my keyboard, pick up my voice but not the clacking of my key presses. The occasional one gets through (my space bar makes a loud thunk noise).

It is quite large, bigger than the Yeti or ATH2020USB. I was considering finding an arm to attach to my desk but I've got no idea what to buy! I'd love to clear up some desk space.

All my mates love how my mic sounds!

Also have this in my set up. Got it for around $120 from a music store in QLD if I remember correctly when they had a sale.

Not pricey at all for a microphone and pop filter as we are talking about some quality gear here.
I did some comparisons last year and this shat all over everything in the price range and under.

No issues with the headphone jack.

Build quality and audio quality are first rate.

Using my one on a $12.00 Ebay mic boom arm and it's been great. Can't comment on the need for a shock mount as my mic boom arm is attached to a cabinet.

Highly recommend this if you are going to be doing stuff like streaming, Youtube vids etc. Excellent kit for the price.

  • Ahhh the good old Rodent!

  • Great mic, have been using one of these for a couple of years now. Paid about $170 for mine.

  • For those of you using this mic, how do you deal with the sensitivity issue with it? I also got one of these last year, and only used it a couple of times so far. The mic is very sensitive and catches very distant sounds. I know I didn't tweak it and play with it that much, but I have seen other people with similar issues on the net, in case any of you knows how to remedy that issue.

    • Thats the joy of having a condenser mic vs dynamic mic

You may find a noise gate of use
