I use them for work situations where we have a presenter, a room full of people + people online. Give one to presenter, other can be chucked in the middle or handed around the room for questions etc so people online can hear.
How do you find the far field pickup to work? I've got a set of these, but haven't had much luck using it to pickup a room-wide discussion.
To be fair I have a different brand, was just talking to the use case.
wow looks great and being neweer will most likely be actually half decent too
unfortunately still got a sealed lark m1 from 2023…never got around to doing my vlog series ahhhh
Used it last year while in East Africa and the audio turned out well, would recommend but you already have hah
What were you gonna vlog about?
had a few ideas but when i researched more about whats around, there was already like 5 million other people doing similar shit, and way better so tbh i just lost motivation
chip reviews (especially Asian ones - i am especially obsessed with cadina 95° fries from Taiwan atm - but like @phocus and his friends actually already do a snack based podcast covering chips, biscuits, lollies etc (called snack pack podcast) which admittedly I havent kept up to date with for some time, but when i did listen to it , was actually very well done.
edc gear majoring in bags - but like, maurice moves on youtube does an insane production values vlog already on edc gear
fitness - i eat like shit, but i also train decently to off-set it - thought it would be fun to make a vlog about progress , kind of like leanbeefpatty on youtube, or like philosophical life shit while also working out, like you know when you achevie a 1rm max deadlift and you get an epiphany from the blood rushing from your brain/overload on preworkout? , but my performance is unremarkable at best, and im ugly af sooo gave up on that too
my wife wanted to do like..a mums chat - i guess specifically with asian background mums and talking about unique challenges with an east meets west lifestyle for those living in Australia - but similarly she also lost interest because theres already some similar idea productions like this too
Don't let 5 million other people doing the same thing put you off tho. I think a good idea(some variation or niche) and personally play a big part in success.
For me personally it's just fun for us and learning some production helps me stay up to date since moving to a management role.
What about a dad teaches kids fitness or trying our kids sports? My daughter does gymnastics and ive always wanted to learn some of the things she does.
I would highly highly recommend to start any one of those. I feel like you can get decision fatigue having all these options staring at you. Try not to think about being the next Mr Beast. I remember thinking about starting Twitch streaming but thinking I was too late by the time NBN rolled around and we got decent upload speeds. Never ended up going down that route, but I still see new streamers popping up and doing well. I make podcasts/vlogs outside of work to get my creative side going. I can't survive staring at Excel spreadsheets all day.
Your first few videos/vlogs will suck, it's just how it is. Just like when you started training, you won't be Zyzz starting off. But as you keep making content, you will get better. You also don't need to stick to the one niche once you get going. Let's say you make the chip reviews for a year, but you don't end up liking talking about chips after a while. But you gained a year of filming/video editing experience, which you can take onto your next project.
I went to FRMEFEST recently and picked up some good tips, the above being one of them - avoid sunk cost fallacy. Move onto the next idea if you feel like you're not having fun anymore. Another was try not to focus on being perfect, your audience watches it for you and not for perfection. Only other creators will see that last 10-20% that might be missing (e.g. colour grading, incorporating specific shots), but they're not who matter. Hope this motivates you :)
i have this and used it but YMMV but for me it was a bit of a pain in the butt to use and surprisingly heavy. Ive since moved to the DJI mic mini and couldnt be happier.
This is still a good price for a reasonable set especially if you arent moving around a lot or need to disconnect/reconnect frequentlyI have this and moved onto the Wireless Micro (which rode recently sent me a camera adapter for no cost!- props to that australian company).
These are ok, but a bit more difficult to use and as comment above me said, much heavier- i switched to the rode for the same reason they switched.

Is it this one?
Sorry commented to wrong comment
Have this and the sound quality is great! The wind muffs are a bit finicky to put on but all in great value for the money.
Cheap set.
Other brands sell the lapel microphone for more than this product. For good reasons.
Then the wireless box is $300-400 (cost price) For good reasons…These are great for the price, but remember they are 48khz at 16bit. The CM31 is 48khz at 24 bit. The CM31 other day were on special that would took them down to $112 but are constantly on special for $125, those would be better buy than the CM28
What are the use cases for this?
