    • Your looking at the wrong one
      http://www.harveynorman.com.au/sony-2-1-100w-channel-sound-b…
      $348
I got it for $230 at the HN sale last week

      • Oh my bad, thanks for the correction.
Then it makes the deal more appealing.

      • Hows yours? I got a 300watt Sony for $250 from Clive peters in a shutdown sale and its great! It is abit low on bass in some bass heavy songs but usualy great. Cringed at price till I used it now im a convert.

      @strripedz you're linking a different model.. (80W vs 100W)
Anyway, how is the HT-CT180 compared to the Samsung HW-K360? The Samsung has more watts, however it is listed as $50 less on the ticket compared to the Sony..

        Had same question

Bose Solo 5 doesn't count as a soundbar?

    • +2

Yep, eyeing this bad guy for a while. hope i can get this under $200 :) It was on sale at Myer last week as per Price hipster :(

      • How much was it at Myer?

        • $319 I believe?

        • @TNDO: TY :)

Any suggestions on a soundbar? I dont want to spend very much because the tv is mostly used for PS4 and Fox Sports but a soundbar would b a lot better than the TV speakers

The Samsung HW-K360 has good reviews and is $200 at Harvey Norman - $50 less than JB.

  • Hey guys looking to get rid of my trusty 12 year old sony mini hifi system and get some bookshelf or computer speakers to reduce space in my bed room.

Would any of you audiotypes be able to recommend any of the speakers on sale?

    looking at:
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-home-entertainment/all-tv--home…

only as i have bought their car stereo speakers before and they were great.

    Anything else worth looking at?

To reduce space in your bedroom, simply purchase the biggest speaker system you can find, preferably a 7.2 system. The two big subwoofers will help a lot in reducing the empty spaces.

      • +1

ah yes thanks for pointing out my error obviously i meant to increase space in my bedroom as i have my desk and laptop setup and the hifi system takes up too much space Zzzz

    • Logitech Z623s are ace.

    • +1

Plenty of good bookshelf speakers around the $300 mark at this sale - Dali Zensor 1, Wharfedale Diamond 220, Mission MX1, Polk TSx220. All good speakers at a fair price.

But.. you still need an amplifier for those, so you won't save any space.

      • gotta be better than the cd/cassette hifi system currently sitting on my desk. thanks for the heads up i'll head down to a store and see if i can take a listen.

  • No discount on studio monitor speakers…
