I used the link for this deal, Just purchased an hour ago.
Amazing headphones, just don't sweat in them too much it messes with the noise cancellation microphone.
Would say that my only 3 gripes with the XM4s are 1) terribly bloated stock tuning that can be mostly fixed by the in-app EQ, 2) the transparency mode isn't that great and 3) yeah it is quite easy to get sweaty and hot wearing these
But not a terrible pair of ANC cans considering the price
This Harman EQ curve on Reddit worked for me. The XM4s still keep me happy, including a recent trip to the UK in WHY (aha economy).
I bought soms earcup covers for the from Amazon, and sweat in them practically all tbe time at the gym. They've been fine so far.
Condensation is the most annoying part of the XM5s, they easily get damp and it basically knocks out one speaker until you dry it all off.
is this good for talking in the office (zoom/teams meeting) ie it will not pickup other people talking nearby but only your voice?
It's great for music. not good for teams
I find them so-so/poor. I have to mute myself a fair bit due to picking up other people's voices, but other times it's ok to leave off mute.
Not good for calls. I always get feedback that there's too many background noise on my end or that they can hear other people talking.

check out ULT Wear. this iteration is really good if you are a bass fan like me. it delivers amazing bass with great clarity in mids and treble. and supports LDAC for high res. and ANC is very decent. and cheaper ($169 with codes) than XM whatever. which I wasn't impressed with anyway.
these codes also apply to some of the other Sony refurbished products, like cameras and lenses. I tried a couple and I think $1700 something for A7 Riii refurbished is not bad at all. but doesn't apply to A7iv. sneaky.
Add in OCTO6 to bring it down to AU $198.95. I just bought a pair myself.

My xm3s still going hard, and sound better than the xm4s I bought for the wife. Also cancel noise better. The xm5s then had a stupid design, but by reports the latest version is a step forward again in all respects.

New to wearing glasses (wear mostly during computer use) I have Bose QC SC and find it uncomfortable with my glasses on… is it the same with these XM4s ?Yeah not great with glasses. Really nothing with ANC and a half decent seal is going to be good with specs.
