$109.95 shipping to make it $953.95. Yeah nah.

oops my bad, didn't see that. I will remove the negative vote.

        • Sorry @end user - Not sure how to remove it.

        • Click on the votes tab up the top under the title and you can revoke your vote from there. Becextech are notorious for exorbitant shipping costs.

        • @Chickenleg: Thx, Done.

No Australian (Olympus) warranty and a heap for shipping. No Thanks,

At least DCW are selling Australian stock.

Yep, we're AU stock. All Olympus mirrorless cameras purchased from Digital Camera Warehouse come with a 24 month warranty from Olympus Australia. Also, we have ample stock and generally dispatch the next business day.

        • It's a pretty good price. Even with the current 20% off for Ted's eBay store, theirs still comes down to 970. I'm gonna be cheeky here - I'm about to buy the Olympus 25mm f1.8 from camerastore-australia with 20% off. I'm guessing you won't be able to beat it?

        • Yeah, we can't beat that price. Sorry.

Great camera - I love it.

    • We love it too. A very capable bit of kit for the price.

      • @end user - I have just PM'd you. Can you please check.

  • Anyone know what that bonus lens is good for? Is it good for landscape?

    • The 35mm equivalent of both lenses is approximately 28-84mm and 80-300mm.
The first lens is good as an all-rounder, with a decently wide-angle view for landscapes and a useful zoom for street photography, portraits and generally getting a bit closer to your subject. The telephoto lens is good for zooming in to stuff far away, making it ideal for sports, wildlife, invading the privacy of celebrities etc. The combination of both is great for travel, ensuring you are equipped to capture practically anything that you might come across.

I find trawling Flikr for shots taken with particular lenses as a good way to get a general feel for what a lens could be used for.

      E.g.: https://www.flickr.com/groups/2668117@N21/pool/ for this Olympus 40-150mm lens.

I find I can use this at the 40mm end for medium distance portraits and at the 150mm end for tight shots which focus on details or for basic sports/wildlife sort of scenarios.

Just be aware with an aperture from 4.0-5.6 from 40-150mm, you will find best results when used outdoors during the day or with ample lighting.
