Pretty cheap not sure how long the deal will last, went to exit and the code popped up. Sale ends in 10hrs or so

Dont forget the 7.2% back with Cashrewards

For those worried about GST, Tom top will declare the value @ $650USD so as to avoid GST, you need to add a message when you checkout to let them know you want a lowered declared value.

I believe you can still purchase DJI Care refresh (could be wrong) with this even though it is from another country.

Tom tops warranty is the same 12 months manufacturers warranty but you have to send the goods back to them.

The drone here in a Australia is $2199 for the flymore combo

I paid

$1687.84 with my CBA platinum MasterCard
But I get 7.2% back from cash rewards $121
Total cost delivered looks to be $1687.84-$121.52= $1566.32 saving of $632.68

So I'll be happy to send it back if I need to.

Cheers

    +GST…

tomtop declare $650USD for the package so no GST

      • Where does it say that?

      • -1

That would be called "tax evasion" and it's highly illegal.

    • Customs are well aware what popular electronics are worth, irrespective of what's declared. Remember everything gets x-rayed………. add $225. $175GST and $50 customs fee. Of course you could get lucky.

      So purchase price will likely look something likes $1566.32 (after 7% CR) + $225 (Tax) + $51 (3% Bank fee) = $1832

      • even if the fees are applied it is still cheaper than the retailers here still saving $367!! so is that still considered a bargain or what?

        • Yeah still a good price. If you can avoid the GST, it would be an excellent price. Report back once you receive it please.

      • Yeah right well this one must have just slipped through 😜

        • Wow! Well dones@!

        • @ash2000: One thing to note is they sent it via UBI logistics once it arrived in Australia it was handed over to Aust post for final delivery. But for a Saving of $600+ im happy as can be :)

Also the declared price is automatically calculated at 40% OF the original price sold for so if sold for $1000USD they declare it automatically at only $400USD

          @conradl:

Nice…. Maybe the mavics relatively small box (compared to the giant box of the phantom) helps it slip through.

          Nice saving though.

  • Warranty issues for grey imports?

      22:55

Tom top is a Chinese retailer of DJI

      http://m.tomtop.com/dji-multicopter-1111/p-rm4222eu.html

      I am in Australia
      22:57

Yes no worries the service plan is sti available in any our dji products.

So I can still purchase the care refresh for warranties etc to be valid here in Australia?
      22:58

      Allan

      Ok

      Allan
Yes no worries you can still purchase an service plan for your drone since you are in Australia however you can only use your service plan within the country.

So I purchased the drone from China and I live in Australia I need to know if I buy care refresh here in Australia my warranties etc will be valid here and I can get a local repairer to fix or do I send the Mavic back to tomtop

Ok so if I purchase care refresh, even though the drone is from a china supplier my drone will be protected
      23:04

      Allan
      Yes no worries.

      Allan
is there anything else i can do for you?.

Only brand new aircrafts purchased from an Australian Authorised DJI Dealer or through DJI.com are eligible for DJI Care Refresh (grey imports NOT elgible)

So my drone is not eligible for care refresh?

      Allan
May I ask where have you seen that one pls?

      Allan
or provide me a screen shot
      23:05

      is this correct?

      Or are they misleading?
      23:06

I need to know because if they are not telling the truth, they would have mislead lots of people

      R A Australia

      The file is sending…
      23:08

Can you please tellMe if their website is correct

      Or is it incorrect
      23:09

      Allan
As per Dji Policy , even if you purchased it from a third party resellers you can still purchase a service plan for your drone no worries at all.

      Allan
      Thank you.

      • Pretty sure I have seen that policy clearly writted up on dji's website. You can purchase in country A and then purchase the care refresh in country B for use in country B only. The only problem you'll have is if it flies away or you lose it in the water. The care refresh won't help you there…

      • From DJI website:
11、Does DJI Care Refresh support international coverage ?
No, at the moment, DJI Care Refresh only works within one coverage region. However, the coverage region can be different than the region in which the aircraft was purchased. For example, if you purchased your aircraft in China, you can purchase DJI Care Refresh for the US. You can only apply for product warranty service in China, but you can use DJI Care Refresh to replace your product at DJI's official US service center.

  • Let us know how you go with customs once delivered.

  • Your cba card will charge you international fees which is i think 3%

    • Yep, it's exactly 3%. Payable even if purchase price is denoted in AUD.

  • Be careful. Customs are holding drone deliveries asking for proof of purchase amount. I would expect delays/issues if you went down this path of underdeclaring.

    • Exactly, not worth risking customs finding it and billing you. The GST is one thing, the 'fees' are what is crazy.

  • No gst applied savings through the roof!!! Mavic has been handed over to Austpost ror final delivery
