For $30, we used Nok Air to go from Ko Samui —> Bangkok.

Journey: 30 min taxi to ferry terminal. 1 Hr Ferry to Surat Thani. 1.5 hours bus/van from Ferry Terminal to Surat Thani Airport. 3 hr wait at the airport. 1 hr flight to Don Muang (Bkk). 1.5 hrs bus to Bkk accomodation.

Left Ko Samui at 8am, reached Bkk at 6pm. I'd do it again :) #backpackerlife

The other option was $150, 1 hr direct flight to BKK using Bangkok airways. Yeahhh, na.

  • thanks for the heads up Peck… not sure why I didn't get an email about this… I'm on their mailing list!
got my flight to Ubon sorted now :)

Thanks OP, just booked a $60Aud return flight to Chiang Mai to match up with my $250 Melbourne-Bangkok return trip I grabbed with jetstar. Got to love it when it all comes together like this. Cheers.

    • When was this sale for jetstar melb to bkk?

      • The sale was a "return flight free" deal and it happened on the 4th of Nov 2016. As it is, $250 outbound is itself a keen price. Got a very good deal with this one.

        • Oh k thanks
I didnt plan my trip that far in advance but in the past I have to take up some of jetstars previous offers, I flew to japan last year non sale price with jetstar after baggage and a snack on the flight I feel I could have flown with a full fare airline for a better deal eg qantas sale etc
