TBH…i don't believe this should be in ozbargain. These are cruises starting and finishing in Europe.

99%+ of people would also have to add in airfares/accommodation as well.

    • That's ok I've got an aunty who's hanging out for me to get her a bargain cruise when she heads to Europe in September. This post is right up her alley, thanks op

99% of Ozbargainers would choose to add their own airfares and accom instead of being ripped off by a package deal.

  • Great deal - thanks for the post.

I just got back from this mediterranean cruise.

    good:
    excellent stops
stops almost everyday (we only had 1 day at sea)
    gret gym (msc splendida)
cheap internet 19.90 euro for social media pack unlimited for whole week! no video or voice but unlimited whatsapp, instagram, fb, vibes, we chat

    bad:
    everything else!
    awful food
    awful service
    awful shows (everyone falling asleep)

the food on P&O is way way better.

Fine dining restaurant feels like Yum Cha. Food and presentation awful. They charge 9 euro per day service fee and a lot of hard selling such al alcohol packages and steak upgrades at dinner.

    We went to

    Genoa
    Citavecchia
    Palermo
    Valletta (Malta)
    Barcelona
    Marseille

Flew into Milan, train to Genoa, spent 1 whole day in Cinque Terre, board cruise, train back to Milan and fly home. My travel wallet got stolen towards the end of my trip. Lost everything, had to get emergency passport.

Flights $900 Etihad Cruise $400 triple share. Rooms are bigger than P&O.

Still worth going! the stops are amazing. I didn't spend much money, didn't join any shore excursions, just explored on my own. A lot of Unesco Sites, bucket list ticks…cheap and quick holiday.

Loved Genoa, Palermo, Malta!! and Marseille. Barcelona is very busy and 1 day isn't enough. I have been to Spain before and prefer the smaller cities like Sevilla and Cordoba and of course the Alhambra. Way nicer feel. In Citavecchia we caught a bus to Tarquinia (forted old town) for 1euro. That's all we spent the whole day. Brought pastries from breakfast. I have been to Rome twice so didn't want a hue day in Rome which is about 1 hr from Cittavecchia. Cittavecchia itself is horrible. I didn't even take 1 single photo. It looks like Mafia territory.

    • Great report thanks! Sorry to hear about your travel wallet… were you pickpocketed?

      • yup. very unlucky that I had everything in my wallet as I just got off the cruise. I had been extra careful the whole time!
