Free Lunch @ Barangaroo NSW (Free Lunch for Every Participant Who Goes for a Ride) - Lovetoride.net

120

Received this email this morning for a free lunch for test riding a bike.

"Come down to Barangaroo today at lunchtime from 11.30am to 2pm. We’ve organised a fun ‘try-a-bike’ session, where we have bikes you and your colleagues can take for a spin and a nice quiet area to ride in.
Plus there will be a free lunch for every participant who goes for a ride!
It’s the ideal opportunity for you to take a break out of your busy day and enjoy a fun ride. Our team will be there to help you and your work mates log your rides so you can contribute to your team's overall score.
Please bring a workmate/s down with you! Especially those who haven’t been on a bike in a while!
11:30-2pm @ Barangaroo, Dukes Pier, Hickson Rd
Remember, your workmates only have to ride for just 10 minutes today to increase your team’s score and go into the prize draw!"

I'm worried I might get wet venturing out there but Google Weather has been way off for Sydney's eastern suburbs lately.

Apparently there's 100% chance of rain at 10 am and just below 100% chance right now as I look up at the blue sky. I don't know why they'd ever make a cocky prediction of 100% or 0%. Maybe say > 95% but obviously the margin of error is almost 100%.

I'm as useful as the Accuweather hourly percentages. Just say there's a 50% chance of rain all the time.

Someone PLEASE tell the homeless about this!

  • I signed up for this deal at the Domain last week - you can pretty much circle around the park for a few minutes, return the bike and get yourself a free food truck meal and soft drink. An absolute cracker of a deal for 10 minutes of your time.

They're having one in the Domain next Wednesday (22/03) as well - I'll be getting myself a second free lunch next week too!

    • How was the lunch?

It was the Monster Rolls truck. Their usual price of $14 for a roll is a bit much for my liking, but I was more than satisfied with the price of free (plus a Pepsi) for cycling around the area for a few minutes on one of the council's bikes :)
