Need Cheap, Qualifield Electrician for Antenna Socket Quote

Hi everyone,

I live in Melbourne in the northern suburbs and I'm looking for a quote by a qualified Electrician to install an Antenna Socket for an upstairs bedroom.

Thanks for your help!

You don't need a Eletrician for an antenna install

The least expensive way to do this is for your to do it yourself, it isn't difficult.
If you can't do that, look in the local newspaper or Gumtree for a 'handy man' and ask them over the phone for an estimate.
Next option is the local TV antenna installer, again look in the paper or yellow pages.
It will be a toss up which is cheaper between the handyman and installer. The installer will have all the cable etc. so will be able to do it faster, and without having shop for a socket and cable, but the handyman rates are usually a fair bit cheaper.

Get a Signify Digital Indoor Antenna from Aldi $24.99 on sale 25 March. No need to involve handy man, definitely a DIY job and can take it away to another position or room if current location doesn't suit.

    • Are those any better than the usual crappy indoor TV antennas available from Kmart etc in this prince range?

        No They are crap

  • Like going to a medically trained plastic surgeon to pierce your ears.

  • Hi,

I have question along the same lines… house has central TV antenna sockets. Just need to put an antenna at the top. What is an approximate price for buying an antenna and putting it up? It is DIY thing?
