Good afternoon everyone! Just wondering if you guys have seen this news.
http://www.smh.com.au/technology/technology-news/safety-warn…

It says that "A spokesman for the ATSB declined to reveal the brand of the headphones, saying all batteries are potentially risky."

Hopefully my QC25 won't explode on me one day. :'(

"A spokesman for the ATSB declined to reveal the brand of the headphones, saying all batteries are potentially risky."

I find this to be bullshit. Why wouldn't they reveal the name?

It's one thing if a pair of shitty knock off no name headphones with a dodgy battery exploded.

It's another if a global well known brand used by millions has dodgy batteries. We have a right to know the brand…

Hopefully my QC25 won't explode on me one day. :'(

    Don't you mean QC35? QC25 has a removable user replaceable AAA….

    • Why shouldn't we know whatever brand it is

      • knock off or well known.

      Either is dangerous

    • I'm guessing they didn't reveal the brand because the ATSB only does "no-blame" investigations.

(An aeroplane has crashed, killing all on board.)
A spokesman for the ATSB declined to reveal the airline and the brand of the aeroplane, saying all flights are potentially risky.

    • Yeah, mine's the older QC25. The one that the lady used is a "battery-operated headphones" as mentioned so I thought it might be something similar to mine.

  • How have the headphones been treated beforehand?
    Remember this?
'I fell on a rock and my phone exploded, someone else's fault'

  • Since she was leaving Beijing, I suspect the headphones had a dodgy brand.

  • Gives a whole new meaning to boom boom shake de room.

  • I just feel really bad about her eyes. They look the worst. I think she's going to see everything in squares from now on.

  • man the sooner that old battery genius who made l'ion batteries gets his new safer version out the better

  • i heard they were QSEEFIRTYFYS

  • "Explode" is likely shitty journalism at work. From the photos and description sounds like it just smoked and melted. Still bad, but not sensational like a freaking explosion.
