Hi all. As an apology for the site outage on Cashrewards last night between 21:00 and 23:40, Wooloworths has been kind enough to allow us to run this exact deal again tonight between 18:00 and 23:59 AEDT. It will be featured as our Deal of the Day in our newsletter to go out later this afternoon. Enjoy :)

  • From what I gather, the $41 cashback is from Cashrewards and not Woolworths themselves.

    • +1

lol CR wouldn't be in business if they were handing out $$$ for nothing. They pass on % of what they receive from Woolies. Everybody wins!

      • For a moment I thought the coupon took $41 off the checkout amount. First time Woolworths user meant I wasn't aware of how the system worked. Anyhow all sorted.

Common guys and gals, Who not so much love for this deal but 100+ votes for this one

    • +11

Because the 166 on the other one are no longer new customers :)

    • +12

Because those voters are all still waiting for their cashback!

Good deal, and I know it's how the affiliate business works, but waiting 3 months for cashback you're never 100% sure will come is a bit of a turnoff.

    • +8

      We all know why…

      Common guys and gals

come on EC, theres lots of love for this deal

      • -2

When I posted the comment , there was only 3 up votes in 30min of the deal being live

But nice try with the cheap shot

  • Good deal.

Bought a bottle of JW XR 21 last month with the similar deal.

    JW XR 21 cost $165 @10% off
Paid $148.50 with Cashreward WW egift card @ 5%
Then $40 cash back from cashreward/WW

Total cost for $165 JW XR 21 bottle was $101.07

    • how long does it take for the gift cards to be emailed?

i cant checkout cause still waiting for it to be emailed

      • i bought at 3pm and got email next morning

  • new customer = new email add with new edr ??

    • +1

New email with new DOB. Same name & address OK. Existing EDR cannot be reused, but I don't bother putting in EDR with Woolworths Online new customers anyway.

      • Do I need a new cashreward account?

  • Tempting, I just have to figure out what to buy with that big a spend!

Sounds good to me, this low carb diet has gone on far too long.

          You have shamed your username…

    • Really hard this/next week. Shame I'm not keen on storing that much olive oil.

    • Cashews…

  • A bit of a newbie in understanding these deals.
Does the email address/login details for Cashrewards & Woolworths need to be the same?

    • +2

      nope

  • +1

Do Woolworths refresh their specials on Tuesdays like Coles?

    • +4

      Isn't it on Wednesday?

      • +1

Yep. New specials start on Wednesday.

  • please use a new cashrewards account

    • +2

He is right. CR refused to give me 40 back last Feb because I have already claimed something from WW in 2016. They gave me $1 as some good will gesture.

Please create a new CR account if you want to see this $41

      • +1

Huh, I don't get it - what are they doing and why? Why wouldn't they honour the percentage for older customers but would for new?

        • +1

They said these $40 or so cash back can only be claimed once per CR account.

        • +2

PricePal has given me the $20/$30/$40 new Woolworths customer cashback many times. I assume that Woolworths isn't picking up on it and giving the funds to PricePal each time - who then pass it on to me.

Now we know that PricePal and Cashrewards use the same affiliate system. Therefore, if Cashrewards are not passing the $20/$30/$40 on to us, does that mean they are pocketing it for themselves????? Either that or they are giving the $20/$30/$40 back to Woolworths (highly unlikely)

        • @alo1234: how can you check if you've claimed it before?

        • @mobo: you will see it under My Rewards

        • +1

@tomclancy: So true. Both use Woolworths on Performance Horizon as the affiliate channel.Cashrewards definitely runs 5%-10% dishonest(dodgy) business. But,you can image the reason why, because of the staff payouts.

        • @alo1234: mine only goes back a year in history though

  • i logged in and made a new account, shopped and entered the coupon at checkout and it just says 'sorry you are not eligible for this coupon' at the end.

what a bloody waste of time.

    • Was your cart > $150? I used the code this morning no problems.

      • yes, i tried twice with well over 150 in there. it just doesn't work.

        • Odd. I just tried a new customer order right now and it worked no problems. Screenshot here

        • +1

          @tomclancy:

          i'll try again…

        • it worked if i just put a bunch of one item in but then i went back and did the shop i wanted and got this:

"Your coupon was removed as it did not meet the validation criteria required. Please review your order and re-enter the coupon."

i have no idea what is doing that though… super lame

        • @shrewduser: Wow that's really strange. I've no idea why - never encountered anything like that.

        • +1

          @tomclancy:

it's ok i just kept trying things until it worked

        • @shrewduser: glad it worked for you in the end

    • use a new everyday rewards account

  • If I place an order today fir pick up tomorrow, for items that are in sale tomorrow, do I get today's prices or the special prices?

    • +1

You get the price that the online store displays. If you want to pay the price they are advertising as available tomorrow, then shop, wait for it… tomorrow!

    • Today's prices, don't quote me on that though

    • +1

price is based on the date you place the order not the date you pick it up. otherwise there would be no such a thing called 'BOOKING'

  • omg, what a great deal!!! thanks heaps

  • -1

Can i buy $150 Woolworths gift card and use the code?

    • I would like to know this too

    • +3

      NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

      I mean no you can't

    • +1

      woolworths.com.au doesn't sell gift cards

  • Order something you know will be out of stock. Get some of your Woolworths money back and the cash back.

    • from what i remember they actually work it out POST discount (remember from last years deals)

      • Hmm ok then.

  • Does this work for SIM cards?

  • What's the deal with free delivery? Is there a limit on how far they will go in rural areas?

  • Every time I click through from CashRewards and create a new Account I get "Sorry, you are not eligible for this coupon promotion." after adding the Coupon code

  • +1

I hate being this guy, but is there a thread on how Cashrewards works?

    • +5

No problem every body has to start somewhere.
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/266989

      Basically:

Make sure cookies are turned on

      1) create cash rewards account (no credit card needed just email / first name / last name / postcode / password

      2) log in to cash rewards account

      3) from cash rewards website choose store you want to make a purchase from or search current deals and offers and click the store from there

      4) click go to store from www.cashrewards.com.au website

      5) make purchase meeting requirements

      6) wait few days for balance in cash rewards website to be credited

      • OK, that explain part of my comment below, thank you. But why do I get a small discount at the woolies checkout page when applying the code? Am I in fact getting more than this post has described?

  • +2

When will we know we get out $41 back?
sorry I'm noob to Woolworth online and Cashback…
After I enter the code I only get "Less Discount: -16.24"
Will I still get the $41?

    • Hello, I applied code at checkout and got message saying "Promo Code 1: $17.60. How do I get the $41 off?
Sorry, I am new to here, and CR and woolies.
Edit: I also note this deal say get $41 cashback, but CR website deals say get up to $41.
So I ask exactly how do we know what we will get back?

      • The promo code takes directly off from your Woolworths bill. The cashback will become available in your CashRewards account in a few months which you can transfer to a bank account then.

        • Thanks, I think I got it, see comment below, thanks.

    • Doing my head in waiting for someone to clarify this. I believe you have done what I did, and did an order totaling over $150, I would say total of $162.40, correct?
I did an order of total $176, and woolies give me back $17.60. So if we re-read the OP we see on top of $41 back from CR, if our total shop is over $150 we gat an additional 10% back from wollies……..

      • +1

If you spent $176, then you get 10% off to total a $158.40 charge to your card. If your order has tracked correctly with CR then you will receive a further $41 cashback into your CR account (in the next couple of months?). Your total cost for shop is $117.40.

(I've never used CR though so someone correct me if i'm wrong).

  • Sorry (again), the CR website deal states you get $41 cashback, and also states up to $41 cashback in larger purple text.
Is this normal, or is this grounds for CR to give you cashback of a random amount?
It concerns me being new to them they state 2 possible cashback amounts……..

  • +1

I'm going to neg this deal because I still haven't got my cashback from the last deal despite it saying that the cashback was approved in Jan!
I made the shop almost 6 months now, and after 3 different requests for support from Cashback, all I ever got from them were emails telling me they're working very hard on it.(apparently I lied about that part. Apologies to Cashrewards)

Here is a screenshot of my account balance
    http://imgur.com/Tx3vq7B

EDIT tightarse has just resolved the issue for me. He was very responsive, and I appreciate that he gave me the cashback without Woolworth's approval.
I would unneg this deal but it doesn't look like I can anymore

Mod: Resolved (use the votes tab in future)

    • +2

Why are you being downvoted? You've given a very fair reason for your neg and, conveniently, your issue was resolved after you posted it on this popular site.

  • Should my cashrewards plugin say that it's active on the website?

I'm a bit worried about spending and not getting it tracked.

  • Today is one of those good days where you where planning on buying something and you check ozbargain and there is a deal on exactly what you where going to buy that day.

  • hey, just wondering my flatmate has an online woolies account that was registered 12 months ago but never made an online order, would they still be classed as new online customer ? im thinking should be ok, but thought id ask

    • made a new account to be safe

  • How an old customer becomes a new customer again?

    • +1

      Me, myself and I.

      • All from a single Me's Cashrewards account or via me, myself and I's, three separate accounts?

        • …oh.. Not sure about the cashrewards bit, only for the new customers only in Woolies..

    • Oops see above: need a new cashrewards account for another claim

  • Don't use ADBLOCK as this may slow down the process of getting the cashback.

  • Has anyone tried the Woolworths delivery service? How is it? I've heard some negative stuff about it.

    • +1

They deliver within a window - Sometimes it could be delayed a little. I think weekends are worst so weekday's preferred if you can.
Also don't order any perishables (esp chicken, seafood) unless you are planning on consuming within 2 days. From my experience things have gone off a lot quicker than normal in the fridge when I've purchased it online. Good things is that if you call customer service and complain politely, they'll refund you without any question.

  • -3

I am not buying this cash rewards. First and the last time I used it for $20 cash back was never available. When I enquired they said:

We have just checked up on your Cashrewards account and can
see that your Woolworths.com.au transaction has tracked
correctly with an expected cashback of $20. The sale value
for this transaction has tracked at $0 as Woolworths is a
store that provides a flat cashback rate so your cashback is
not effected by the amount you spend.

  • Just wondering if the $20 off $150 code works with cashreward deal, as 10% off is only $15

    • No. The $20 code will work at the checkout, but the cashback will be denied by the affiliate system from Woolworths. Only coupon codes listed on the Cashrewards website will also attract the cashback

  • +1

My order just got delivered. Does anyone know if out of stock items (being refunded) would affect CashRewards cashback? It ended up just below $120 after refund…..

    • It hasn't for me in the past

  • Link from Cashrewards to Woolies not working now. Keep getting error message. Has the deal expired.

    • I just tried and the CR->WW link works fine. I am hitting the button on cashrewards.com.au called "Shop Now".

Try again and if it doesn't work try clearing cache?

      • +1

I have cleared the cache. Just not working for me. Its really unusual. Never had this problem before. Thanks anyway.

        • same issue here - hope it's fixed soon!

  • So if I've previously bought a Wish gift card through cashrewards, does that mean I'm not a new customer?

I've never actually ordered groceries from Woolies online (really never, I live quite close to their store so never felt the need)

edit: "Woolworths Gift Cards" appears as a different listing in Cashrewards, so maybe I'm in luck.
