PureVPN: 130% Cashback for New PureVPN Customers @ TopCashback AU

490

Profit 💰 offer is back. Enjoy!

Only one (1) PureVPN purchase is permitted per member every 28 days (4 weeks).

My Tips:

  • Choose Max 2-year plan (+ 6 months) US$109.95 for the best value. Do NOT grab the 5-year plan offer in the pop-up. 5-year plan and add-ons are ineligible for cashback.
  • Use a new email for PureVPN if purchased before.
  • Pay with a card without international transaction fees if possible.
  • The tracked amount in your TopCashback account will be slightly lower than what you are charged. This is probably due to the currency conversion fees/taxes as PureVPN reports in USD which is converted to AUD. 130% cashback minus the fees/taxes.
  • If you use PayPal AU, PayPal AU may charge a currency conversion fee. It seems not possible to change the currency to USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD. These fees are ineligible for cashback.
  • Tracking may take up to 4 hours.
  • If your order doesn't track, please cancel and request for a refund from PureVPN within 31 days under their 31-day money-back guarantee.
  • If you cancel for non-tracking, you can buy again. Use a new email address for PureVPN with the same TopCashback account. Same payment card is fine.
  • You can cancel auto-renewal/subscription after you have received cashback.

It is recommended to use the TopCashback app, click the 'Get 130% Cashback' pink button to the PureVPN website, mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

TA's Tips:

  • A new email address for PureVPN is considered a new customer.
  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave and close any additional browser tabs.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).
  • Also important to remember that should tracking fail for whatever reason, please cancel using their free 31-day money-back guarantee policy. No point lodging a claim to possibly have it rejected by PureVPN as attributed elsewhere.

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • Cashback is eligible only on 1-year, 2-year, and monthly plans (Standard, Plus, Max). Cashback is ineligible on 5-year plan, Teams multi-user plans, and/or add-ons.
  • Only one (1) PureVPN purchase is permitted per member every 28 days (4 weeks). Check your TopCashback account to confirm last purchase date.
  • PureVPN is excluded from all signup and referral bonus thresholds. Reference the Tell-a-Friend terms for more information.
  • Cashback can only be earned by customers opening a new PureVPN account. Renewals are ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on payments made with Crypto currency.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards for payment and/or purchase of gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Cashback is calculated and paid on the advertised cost of the plan only. It will exclude upsold products, GST, other taxes, credit card or PayPal surcharges.
  • PureVPN orders report to your account excluding GST and other taxes, and may show a further difference in purchase amount due to international conversion rates. This is beyond our control.
  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • You must accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • You must always return to TopCashback and click the 'get cashback' button through to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.
  • To be eligible for cashback, all transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted/negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

Last offer in August.

  • Mine got rejected. Apparently i had a failed attempt a year ago, even though i was able to register a new account, it showed the old transaction once i registered.

    • Did you use the same email for PureVPN? I am aware that the old transaction shows up in your history when you use the same email. Hence you would not be considered a new customer for cashback. Cashback could be rejected as you mentioned.

The offer requires a new email for PureVPN (new customer) to be eligible for cashback. It's mentioned in the post description.

I have bought these 130% PureVPN cashback offers since a year ago. All 9 transactions have been paid (with a new email for PureVPN).

Can you please share that for 2 year plan how much we will pay an average and how much money we will get back as a cashback in AUD? Thanks

        • +1

I haven't bought this offer yet. Will update (as always) after I have bought.

The profit has been around A$35-$40. It will vary slightly depending on your card type, payment method, currency conversion rate at time of purchase etc. Please see my last order details here.

use different email, and use once only virtual credit cards. That way they can't cross check email/paymentmethod, potentially they could crosscheck topcashback, but for some reason they don't normally crosscheck cashback accounts

      • Same payment card is fine too if no virtual card.

  • here we go again, mate!

  • Running out of emails. Does the +Gmail trick work for this deal?

    • +1

yep I have always used + trick for the previous ones,

      • Nice thanks. When do you normally cancel the subscription? Do you just wait for confirmed?

  • +1

Cost $168.69 this time around on my fee free card.

    • +1

      Me too.

      • +2

        Ooffftt $168.53 with Wise 💪

    • Revolut charged me 170.22

  • Anyone else have their purchase around 26th Aug move from pending to confirmed?

    • Not yet. It would probably be confirmed later this month. Cashback is usually paid in about 3 months.

      • When you see "pending" in TCB, is it safe to cancel the pureVPN subscription?

        • +1

I prefer to wait till it's paid. Some people have cancelled.

@Asti Please see my updated list of time frame here.

Sorry to be that guy but I’ve only started doing cahsback stuff lately. How does this deal work? Pay $109 USD for 2 year plan and then in theory get $109USDx1.3 =$141.70 USD back? How is this feasible for them as a business?

    • +7

I have been coming up with theories. What do they have to gain? Here are my guesses.

      1. You are laundering money for them. Very effective since they get payments in and out of TCB and through 1000s of end users.

      2. They are capturing user data and usage information shared via the VPN and selling it to other companies. Although I'm not sure how effective this is given most people who sign up this way don't even use the product.

      3. You are providing them a loan at a relatively high interest rate. Whatever they are doing with the money must be risky. If they go under your are definitely not getting the cashback. Perhaps a Ponzi collapse will happen at some point?

      4. They want to sell their business at a later point, and this is a quick way of getting many users on their books. However I don't think it's the case; these cashbacks have been going on for so long.

I think there's also the hope that you will choose to renew/forget to cancel in two years time.

        • +1

I guess it's similar to how gift cards make extra profit when losing them or forgetting before expiry, good point. 30% is a pretty huge. So about 1/3 sign ups need to fumble their cancellation for them to barely profit (with taxes, running costs, and getting the money 2 years down the line) Personally I can't see how it turns out in their favour but I don't have the data so who knows.

Disclaimer: I'm not saying that this is fact, or even that it is necessarily applicable to PureVPN specifically, but I've seen a number of articles discussing this recently:

Allegedly, a number of VPN providers use their services as a way to, ironically, surveil users and persons of interest. If you install their custom software, that's an easy way for VPN companies to install nefarious software, but even if you don't (e.g. by using OpenVPN software with PureVPN configs) they will still see your traffic which can itself be quite revealing. If an unsavoury VPN owner had the ability to generate certificates from a trusted Certifcate Authority (CA), they could also read encrypted traffic by performing a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack without the user knowing. Giving services away at a loss would be a good way to increase their user base and therefore give them access to more data.

Once again, I am not claiming this as fact, but it is a possibility that should be considered for any VPN service.

  • What is the estimate payable time from prev deals? Top cashback is usually fine but the latest Woolworths deal says 24 weeks!

  • +1

My last PureVPN purchase was made on 27th of August. Would I be ok to do it again or cutting too fine?

  • +3

To those asking, cashback is usually paid in about 3 months. Estimated payable is 16 weeks (max). You can see the estimated payable (16 weeks) when you click "+" on the transaction.

Here is a summary of my PureVPN transactions this year:

    • 26 August Purchase - Pending
    • 11 July Purchase - Confirmed on 5 Sep
    • 13 June Purchase - Paid on 6 Sep
    • 16 May Purchase - Paid on 14 Aug
    • 18 April Purchase - Paid on 11 July
    • 1 March Purchase - Paid on 31 May
    • 18 Jan Purchase - Paid on 17 April

Ref: What do the statuses 'pending', 'confirmed' and 'payable' mean?

  • I’m getting transaction error when using Revolut disposable card. What can I do?

  • The target audience for this deal must be pretty low, probably talking about broke teenagers using their parents credit card, poor students or people on centerlink pensions.

Obviously, you have to ask why a legit registered company is giving money away? The answer is it's probably not legit and there is something shady going on.

Sadly, this will all end in tears, my take anyway!

    • They do it like every month or so. It’s about 30-40 for free a month. Don’t u like free money?

      • From a shady VPN company who has been caught selling out users before which is registered in gods know where? No thanks.

As Asti said in his post it's probably 99% money laundering or something similar.

Amazing news, about to do another round of PureVPN profit goodness again.

Would you recommend using the UBank International Fee Free Card or Wise Card?

    • +1

Do you have a fee-free credit card that you can use? I paid with my cc to earn points, and contribute towards a monthly spend amount to get the signup bonus.

Otherwise, I'd go with wise over ubank (visa) for a marginally better conversion rate

      • Unfortunately not!! I only have one CC and it’s the AMEX QF Ultimate which charges a 3% international foreign fee rate. I’ll go with the Wise card like you set, cheers for answering my question!

      • Is it ok to use the same credit card as last time?

        • Yes.

  • NordVPN the best. PIA VPN not so good - making new overseas accs flagged as malicious from bots. Will check PureVPN. If anyone have experience on this, would be keen to hear.

    • They're all as bad as eachother. Nord operates SurfShark which everyone seems to hate.

      • But there is logic in having 1 super commercial VPN in your toolkit. You hide like a needle in the haystack. The big VPNs have so many users it's a big plus.
