  • And the deal is????

    • This is quite a confusing sale, where (from what I can tell) the advertised price doesn't really appear to match what's actually for sale.

Adioso detected a bunch of the price drops this morning (and I've confirmed them online). Deals appear to be:
      - MEL-KUL out: $149, back: $99, full-return: $248
      - OOL-KUL out: $149, back: $111, full-return: $260
      - PER-KUL out: $99, back: $45 (!), full-return: $144

      Screenshot proof: http://skitch.com/fennb/d1ek8/online-booking-airasia :)

Adioso is sync'ing up these deals at the moment, so as per usual should be able to help you find out which days have the cheap fares. Usual searches apply:
      - http://adioso.com/au/ool-to-kul.html
      - http://adioso.com/au/per-to-kul.html

      Happy hunting!

      • Cheapest I've found is Melb to KL return, $190, booking through their malaysian site.

correction: that was KL to Melb return. Big difference in fares the other way around.

  • $70 Melb to/from KL (one way)
$70 Gold Cost to/from KL (one way)
$172 KL to/from London (one way)
$10 KL to Mumbai (one way)

    Check the website for more.

  • Wait.. oddly enough if you look at the deal on the AU site http://www.airasia.com/au/en/promotion/rr060408.html?link=op…

It is called the 3 day take off sale, flights from Aus to KL are $149 instead of $70.

So make sure you book through the Malay site: http://www.airasia.com/my/en/promotion/rr060408.html?link=op…

    • just a bit confused though.

on the malay site, at the top it says fare to and from KL for melb/gold coast at RM 199…. but when you go down, it says RM 444.

      which one is it?

      • It appears that MEL - KL is RM 444 and KL - MEL is RM 199.

    • It doesn't matter which site you book from, it is the same site anyway. The sale is $149 (444MYR) for Mel-KL and $199MYR for KL-MEL

  • fantastic prices, 600-700 return to London, with seats available! if only we weren't buying a house!

    • doesnt booking start from tomm? how did u check seat availability?

      • one of the girls here just put in some dates and thats what it came back with…
120 something dollars to KL 600 and something RM from KL to London…

doubt those would have been the preflight sale prices… I cant find any now.. odd..

    • instead of getting a $400,000 Mortgage, apply for $400,700. that way you'll have the extra $700 to buy the tix.

  • Are these prices including taxes?

  • +2

Just a hint: I believe the reason for different prices displayed on their different country sites is that an offer in Australia by law MUST include all fees, taxes etc. upfront… (see http://www.accc.gov.au/content/item.phtml?itemId=871368&node…),
…while on their Malaysian site it's displayed WITHOUT taxes until you confirm. Can't say for sure, since the prices aren't available til tomorrow but this was definitely the case during one of their former sales. Hope this clears it up.

  • fees and taxes, exc credit/charge cards must be shown as all inclusive for internal flights within aus, flights out of aus dont have to display all inc price as they are calculated prior to payment

  • Decided to getaway for the whole month during May 2011.

    MEL - KL
    KL - BKK
    BKK - SGN
    SGN - BKK
    BKK - KL
    KL - MEL

I think by then, I'll truly be sick of flying! If only I could accumulate miles from AirAsia… All that for under $600AUD. Now gotta figure out accommodation, transport and stuff to keep me entertained.

  • ok if i book a trip from KL to london in March theres a promo but when I do it for June, its normal price
    wtf?

    • March is cold wet and miserable in London . June is less wet and a lot warmer ie "peak season" .

  • No overnight booking frenzy this time.

I snagged aus-kl-aus for $250 inc bags and food coming back ($3 OK. $7 from Aus is far too dear.)

    • what city in aus? and what dates
because thats a really good price

  • Well after tinkering with dates I got Melb - London (Via KL) return for about $1400. I did get all the added extras; baggage, seat allocation, travel insurance, meals and even commfort packs so not too bad at all.
Have to be mindful about the timings of the flights though. Coming back was ok, just a 3hr wait at KL, but going to we have to have a night in KL so another $100 say. Also its to an airport North of London which could add costs to get to London city.

Is also handy using the graph on - http://adioso.com/au/ to see which days are the cheapest. Is a little behind though as flights on there were gone when I got back to AirAsia site.
