2014 Honda CR-V Vti Plus Auto MY15 - Looking to Buy

Hi Guys,

Looking at this car online for a price of $27000, 25,893 km, Auto, Petrol, Silver

Then I checked the car value from Carsales as if I'm selling this car, I was selecting; I'm buying and showing the price of $19100-$21300

My question, How come the gap so big?

How much price should I bid?

Thank you in advance

  • Have you looked on carsales.com.au to see what they're listed at?

    • 27000

      • Without having further look, perhaps the $19-21k may be more of the price to expect for trade it?

      • Well carsales have them listed between 21k and 30k depending on the mileage. So $27k for one that's done 25,000km sounds about right.

Redbook is just a guide. Sounds like you should do a little more market research first.

        • I did

          Please see below
          https://www.carsales.com.au/car-valuations/393347/buy

21300 is based on 45000 km

this one has 25000, it should not be $6k difference.

        • @W0rldtraveller:

Really, it is what the market will accept. What carsales states is largely irrelevant if people price it higher and others are willing to buy.

And sure, 20k should mean a $6k difference, but only you can really decide, based on the quality of the car.
