Why is airpark so cheap compared to the other sections? Surely its not just proximity?
Pretty much what it is - it's to compete with all the 3rd party parking operators around the area. I parked there recently for a 5am flight out and a 9pm flight in, didn't have a single issue.

I always used to use DAP.
Now I wouldn't bother with external providers as Airpark is a lot cheaper and 2 minutes from the airport.
Whats the actual different between non flexible and every day rate? Is it only that you cant change or do you have to pay for the shuttle aswell?
I booked non-flexible, it's purely you can't change it. Shuttle is free for everyone and anyone, you don't have to show any proof you parked there. Not sure why you'd take it if you didn't park there though…

All good. The street you go down to get into the airpark (you'll see all the shade sails for the 'covered' section), that's where all the bus stops to the airport are.
If you're coming out from domestic, the stops are bright orange and one is down the Qantas end, the other down Virgin. I can't recall what the International bus stop looked like.
Just be aware that airpark busses to/from the terminal only run every 20 minutes and are not timetabled after 11am daily. Kinda sucks when you pull up in the carpark and you see the bus take off.
the sign I saw on saturday night (while waiting for the airpark bus at the domestic terminal) said are they are every 15 minutes, except from after 9pm (?) to 5am (?) when they are every 20 minutes.
though I'm sure I was waiting longer than 20 minutes at midnight.

The bus to both the International and Domestic terminals runs every 15 minutes from 5am to 9:30am and every 20 minutes from 9:30am to 5am.
