    • To be fair, this poster has provided details about other airfares. Quite often return airfares are really cheap one way but full price (or close to it) on the return leg. $223 return MEL-KUL is very cheap.

I haven't flown AirAsiaX before but I look forward to KUL-DEL in 2 months time. Premium seats, thanks to an OzBargain posted special.

  • I went on to their website just then to see how much those AirAsiaX Premium seats were, and encountered errors in both Firefox and IE lol… not a good sign.

From the looks of things, Premium seats seem to get a discount of about $150 for a return Melb-KL flight.

  • Anyone been able to track down any cheap KL-Honkers flights?

    • Yes

this really should be in the other air asia deal….dont need one per deal they have, its one post per company.

  • It would really be great if people could submit their deals into TRAVEL, not Apparel or Entertainment.

Thanks to AirAsia, Tiger Airways and Tune Hotels - I've booked an insanely cheap 9 night itinerary. Melbourne-Kuala Lumpur-Johor Bahru//Singapore-Saigon-Kuala Lumpur-Melbourne. Airfares and accomodation at less than $500 total per passenger. Must be plain lucky to have three budget-oriented firms having promotions simultaneously.

  • london is cheap going there, but 3 times as much coming back.
    wish they had bangkok

    • or flew out of somewhere other than London… that has a huge fee to leave.

  • Well after tinkering with dates I got Melb - London (Via KL) return for about $1400. I did get all the added extras; baggage, seat allocation, travel insurance, meals and even commfort packs so not too bad at all.
Have to be mindful about the timings of the flights though. Coming back was ok, just a 3hr wait at KL, but going to we have to have a night in KL so another $100 say. Also its to an airport North of London which could add costs to get to London city.

Is also handy using the graph on - http://adioso.com/au/ to see which days are the cheapest. Is a little behind though as flights on there were gone when I got back to AirAsia site.

  • If anyone has built an long-ish asia itinery, please post it. I am having serious considerations about an making a long trip but not sure on the order to do things.

    • I've booked MEL-KUL-JHB//SIN-SGN-KUL-PEN-KUL-MEL - Around $550 (July 2011)
SIN-SGN is with Tiger Airways 99C SGD sale.

So managed to fit Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru), Indonesia (Batam by boat from Johor Bahru), Singapore, Vietnam (Saigon and Vung Tau) - in a 10 day trip.

      • And it is sometimes cheaper to book a 2xone way flights than a return on that same carrier.
