  • I would only use these for real cheap bikes.

I have one of these. It was also on clearance at Caboolture a couple months ago, don't know about now.

The bearings or whatever's going on in the lock are pretty bad, makes locking and unlocking a bit of a pain.

Someone either tried to steal my bike or took some anger out on it and the lock held up, got some scratches and took some of the rubber coating off it. Paint on the bike doesn't look so pretty anymore :(

Keep in mind that if a bike thief just happens to have the slightest bit of intelligence they could just pay $5 for 2 keys. Or just steal those too.

    • Presumably each key set is slightly different (I hope…)

I bought 2 for kids bike, keys are different for each one!

        • Well there you go, I just assumed they would be the same

  • perfect for greenies to use round their necks to lock themselves to trees

  • That's awesome.

Anyone know if its available at any other K-Marts?

Do are they easy enough to pick?

Ive got a fellow cyclist at work who when someone chains their bike up in his (self designated public) spot, like to push their bikes over…and I thought this might be a nice addition to his bike when I see it (i figure if he can't move his bike, no one can pinch his spot), but only for a few days

    • I think the weakness is someone using a bar as leverage rather than being picked.

      • Those tubular locks can be very easy to defeat.
