  • I hope the setup has improved. As my Denon is a nightmare.

    • In what way? Do you mean usability or initial configuration?

  • I have been using an onkyo which I bought 6 years ago. If I am still having FullHD tv, 5.1 and mainly using HTPC to consume materials, will there be any benefit for upgrading to one like this ?

    • Not really. Not unless you plan to expand your setup or use the features of the Denon. If you're happy with the Onkyo, stay with it.
If you're looking to upgrade, then this is worth a look.
Weigh up the features, inputs, size, suitability etc then decide if it's right for you.

  • +3

I bought this from Amazon Germany last time it went on sale and just wanted to note that a power plug adaptor is unnecessary, just use a suitable local figure 8 power cable.

    • +2

IEC C17 or the more common C13. Basically a desktop PC power cable. Not a figure 8.

      • Sorry, toxicdav3 is correct.

  • Is this including removal of VAT or doesn't the German site do this for exports?

  • i got one on the last deal VERY fast delivery and tracking, i'm very happy.

only thing is it is "light" physically for this power value of an amp as i was buying to upgrade from my older demon 1800 amp …. checking the amazon deals for a couple more hundred dollars i could have gotten a bigger model and the models up also have more inputs as the delivery is the same.

    great amp feature wise

  • Awesome price, shame this model doesn't have 4k upscaling

    • surely your 4K TV will upscale? and if you have a 4K TV wouldn't you want a receiver that supports 4K directly anyway? (you know so you can use that 4K bluray player or Chromecast through the receiver)

  • What is best speaker combination?
Thank you in advance foe the suggestions

  • Hi OP, thanks a lot for the great deal. Finally bit the bullet and raised an order with Amazon.de. Any suggestions on the best speakers to pair up with these?
